Land Programs & Hotels

  • See the absolute icons of England – including a theatrical performance in the West End – and become immersed in local foods and wines through tastings, afternoon tea and an interactive dining experience.

Note: This program is limited to 12 guests.

    DAY 1

Fly into London Heathrow or London Gatwick Airport. Here you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel. Although every effort will be made to have your room available prior to the 3:00pm check in, this cannot be guaranteed. Luggage storage will be available should you wish to drop your luggage and start exploring the city.

The remainder of the day and meals are on your own.

    Note:

Once you have gone through Customs and Immigration you will collect your luggage at the carousel, walk through the “nothing to declare” channel and then exit into the arrivals hall where your driver will be waiting with a sign with the Regent Seven Seas logo.

Single guests will transfer in a sedan and couples in a van. Sedans hold 2 pieces of luggage, plus 2 carry-on bags. Vans hold 4 pieces of luggage plus, 2 or 3 carry-on bags. If you have more luggage than is permissible, a larger vehicle may be required for additional cost. Please advise your booking agent at least 21 days before sailing if a larger vehicle is required.

    DAY 2

London is a city that inspires and amazes! A capital that basks is in its rich history and where around every corner there is something new, yet something very familiar. Today you will have a tour of this majestic city, fully guided by a London expert.

Begin with a visit to Borough Market. This isn’t just the most exciting locale on the British food scene—it’s also the beating heart of Southwark, a gastronomic hotspot in its own right for more than a millennium. Your visit here will show you just how fascinating and diverse British food can be as you meet the proud locals making it all happen. You’ll follow the most delicious route possible through a corner of the city that’s always had food at its heart.

The tour continues with an opportunity to take in some of London’s most iconic landmarks. Peer along Downing Street, home of the British Prime Minister, circle around Trafalgar Square, see vibrant Piccadilly Circus and then take a short walk for a photo stop outside Buckingham Palace.

The tour ends with a quintessentially British Afternoon Tea. Afternoon Tea was introduced to Britain in the early 1840s and has been enjoyed by many ever since. Whilst the concept is simple, when expertly executed the memories are remembered longer than the food itself. Enjoy a fine selection of sandwiches and sweet treats accompanied by a range of traditional teas before ending the tour back at the hotel.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

    DAY 3

Studded with lush countryside greenery, rolling hills, beautiful towns, exquisite vineyards and

delicious food, Kent is the oldest county in England and known, quite rightly, as The Garden of England.

After breakfast, meet your guide and enjoy a drive into the heart of the region, through fields of market produce, tomatoes, onions, orchards of apples and the ever-present hop fields. Pause in the delightful village of Chilham, with its timber framed cottages huddled below the stately Manor House at the head of the old square.

Visit the church and see the ancient Yew tree which took root way back in 690AD.

Pause for lunch in a traditional Kent pub before continuing to an award winning vineyard. Learn the processes and methods to transform fruit into great wines along with a guided tasting tour, all while taking in the stunning views. Here the visit ends and you will begin the journey back to London.

Back in London the remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

    DAY 4

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning followed by a visit to the world famous West End. Home to 40 theatres all showcasing the most talented actors, actresses, directors, and designers in the world. The oldest, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, was founded in 1663, however, most of the buildings are from the Victorian era and have been carefully refurbished to keep them in use.

From Les Misérables to Kinky Boots, Disney’s The Lion King to Wicked, London’s West End has some of the biggest and most diverse professional shows in history. Along with New York City's Broadway theatre, West End theatre represents the highest level of commercial theatre in the world. Memorable music, heartfelt plots, relatable characters and sensational performances – all add up to an incredible, unmissable experience.

Today you will enjoy a wonderful matinee performance in London’s West End (exact show to be advised within 21 days of sailing) and then embark on an incredible culinary adventure. Seats will be located in the Stalls (ground floor).

Chef’s Tables are an immersive and captivating experience. This exclusive, private event offers a dynamic and interactive dining experience, in which a series of dishes are cooked in front of you and explained at every stage. A multi-course tasting menu is created using cutting edge techniques, the imagination of fantastic chefs and use the finest ingredients, all of which come together to create the ultimate dining experience for our group. With your taste buds satisfied, the evening ends and you will return to your hotel. (Note: beverages are not included with the meal – guests may purchase their preference).

    DAY 5

After breakfast and check out, meet your guide and begin your journey to the ship via one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe ‘Stonehenge’. Entry to the site is included but the tour is self-guided.

You will be accompanied from the hotel by a professional tour guide, who will enlighten and entertain you with the history of the local area as you travel.

Please meet in the lobby 15-minutes prior to departure, having settled any incidentals.

Land Program Details Step by Step:

•Please note: The order of sites visited may vary to avoid congestion. All program details including timings are approximate, given here for general reference purposes and subject to change.

Be aware that the representative may be assisting others and may not be in sight when you first exit Customs and the luggage claim area.

•Look for someone holding a sign with the cruise line logo and possibly your name. If in doubt, ask the airport staff to direct you to the meeting area for transfers or to page our representative.

•Meet and Greet and transfers are arranged for guests arriving on Day 1 of a land program or for extra nights booked through the cruise line and are arranged based on the flight details received by guests at least 14 days before sailing. DAY 2

London is a city that inspires and amazes! A capital that basks in its rich history where around every corner there is something new, yet something very familiar. We take you on a tour of this majestic city, fully guided by a London expert.

Your day begins in a Royal Palace after breakfast at your hotel and a short drive outside the city.

On the banks of the River Thames, Hampton Court Palace started life in 1515 as a magnificent brick stately home for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey. Seized by Henry VIII at Wolsey's downfall, the Palace was enlarged and became home for Henry and wife number two, Anne Boleyn.

Explore with a Hampton Court guide the Tudor bedrooms, oak panelled corridors, and extensive Royal kitchens. Visit the magnificent chapel and banqueting hall. See how the Palace received a makeover by Sir Christopher Wren during the late 17th century reign of William and Mary. Enjoy the works of art from the Royal Collection on display throughout the building and take time to stroll around the grounds, admiring the fountains and getting yourself lost in the famous Hampton Court maze!

Return to the city for a superb 2-course lunch in a top London restaurant to enjoy a ‘Taste of Britain’ menu followed by a cruise on the river Thames. Enjoy a glass of champagne as you pass by the iconic Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, and the Palace of Westminster.

In the afternoon enjoy a guided panoramic tour of the city, starting from Parliament and Westminster Abbey, peer along Downing Street, home of the British Prime Minister, circle around Trafalgar Square, see vibrant Piccadilly Circus and the opulent Albert Memorial and view the city's famous museums such as the Victoria and Albert and the Science Museum. Head into Knightsbridge to drive by Harrods and then take a short walk for a photo stop outside Buckingham Palace before returning to your hotel at the end of this entertaining and rewarding day.

Please note: Parts of the itinerary may be reversed depending on local traffic conditions.

Upon returning to your hotel, the evening is at spent at your leisure, dinner is on your own.

    DAY 3

After breakfast at your hotel, begin the day with a journey to England's West Country, to the elegant city of Bath, famed for its therapeutic hot springs, a long and varied Roman history plus the beautiful terraces, crescents and circuses of the 18th Century that adorn the residential area of the city.

Bath's foundations go back to Celtic times when the springs were first discovered, and the healing properties realized. Enjoying the warm waters, the Roman invaders soon arrived in the first century and called this place Aquae Sulis turning it into one of the most important religious centers and military settlements in the northern part of the empire.

Through the Saxon era and the Mediaeval period up to the city's new foundation as a resort for Georgian aristocrats, making the three-day journey from the capital, the wealthy elite would take the waters to cure themselves of rheumatic diseases, stiffness of the joints and gout.

On arrival in Bath there will be a guided tour where you will walk along the original Roman pavement, before entering the Roman Baths to see the hot baths and remains of the temple of Sulis Minerva.

Next, take a drive though the delightful rolling hills and meandering streams of the Cotswolds, to honey-coloured stone villages down narrow country lanes. Time seems to have been given very little chance to march forward around these parts. Cottages of 17th century weavers’ homes stand next to chuckling streams, gentle rolling green hills and hidden valleys that stretch across these limestone uplands. With an expert guide on board your coach you will set about exploring this area and meander through this wonderful landscape.

Visit Burford where the old weavers’ houses cascade down to the valley of the river Windrush below and see Stow on the Wold with its ancient marketplace and hilltop views. Enjoy a hearty pub lunch in an old English hostelry during your journey around the Cotswold Hills as well as photo stops and guided walks in each of the villages you call into.

Please note: Parts of the itinerary may be reversed depending on local traffic conditions.

Back in London at your hotel, the remainder of the evening is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

    DAY 4

After breakfast and check out, begin your journey to the ship via one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe ‘Stonehenge’.

•Please advise RSSC if you have any dietary restrictions or needs specific to this program at least 90 days before departure so that the venues can be informed accordingly. While every attempt will be made to honor dietary requests, this may not always be possible.

    DAY 1

Disembark the ship in Piraeus, meet your guide and board your coach for a scenic drive to Delphi. This beautiful drive into the land of central Greece will bring you to the magnificent site of Delphi.

Delphi was regarded by the ancient world as both the physical and spiritual center of the earth. Located approximately 2,000 feet above sea level on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, this sanctuary dedicated to Apollo housed the most esteemed oracle of antiquity. Individuals from all walks of life, including prominent figures within Athenian civilization, placed considerable trust in the pronouncements delivered by the priestess known as the Pythia, whose responses were typically interpreted—often with deliberate ambiguity—by attending priests.

Over time, Delphi amassed significant wealth through offerings, much of which has since vanished; however, visitors today can still appreciate the site’s ruins and reflect on its historical significance during its period of prominence.

Walk up the Sacred Way past the beautiful small Treasuries to the Temple of Apollo, location of the oracle; continue to the Museum with its superb collection of votive offerings and statues, including the world-famous Charioteer. A traditional country lunch will be offered at the nearby village of Arachova.

Following lunch, you will board your coach and commence the drive to the town of Kalambaka. This is the picturesque town that sits at the foot of Meteora. After checking in to the hotel, dinner will be served, and the evening will be at your leisure.

    DAY 2

After breakfast, check out and board your coach for a visit to the Meteora Monasteries. Admire the extraordinary rocks of Meteora which were formed as a result of the force of the nature, and they appear to be suspended in the sky, crested with the celebrated monasteries. Today only six monasteries are inhabited, two of which have become nunneries. You are invited to delve into two of these remarkable phenomena, seemingly floating in the sky and serving as an example of the post-Byzantine era.

NOTE: Scheduled visits are for the Monastery of the Great Meteoron “Megalo Meteoro” and The Nunnery of St. Stefanos “Agiou Stefanou”. Should one be closed, it will be replaced by Moni Varlaam.

Steps vary from one to the other - The Monastery of the Great Meteoron has approximately 200 steps, St. Stefanos Monastery has approximately 10 steps and Moni Varlaam has approximately 80 steps. Coaches are able to drop off guests approximately 300- 500 feet from each Monastery.

After the visit to the Monasteries, you will commence your drive to Athens. A lunch stop will be made along the way. Arriving in Athens, you will proceed directly to your hotel for check-in.

In the evening you will be met by your guide, and you will transfer to the picturesque Mikrolimano area in Piraeus where you will dine at Varoulko Restaurant. Lefteris Lazarou, Greece’s top-awarded Michelin Star Chef, created the restaurant’s menu so you will not be disappointed in this fantastic dining experience.

    DAY 3

Following breakfast at your hotel, begin your day with a visit to the famous site of the Acropolis. En route you will drive by Constitution Square, the House of Parliament, the Neo-Classical styled university buildings, the Royal Palace, and the Old Olympic Stadium of Athens.

Arriving at the foot of the Acropolis, one of the most photographed ancient monuments in the world, you will set off with your group on a walking tour to the top. Your guide will stop along the way to brief you on its history. Once you get to the top you will have some free time to explore and take photographs. Admire the ancient temples of Athena Nike and the towering Parthenon, as well as the gorgeous view of the city of Athens below.

Note: Expect high temperatures in the summer months and heavy crowds. There are upwards of 100 or more un-even steps to get to the top of the monument. There is a handrail in some spots but not all. Those not wishing to venture to the top can remain at the bottom and wait for the group to return. At the top the ground is uneven. Large bags are not permitted here and will need to be left on the tour bus.

Next you will visit the breathtaking Acropolis Museum – an impressive building that was completed and opened in 2009 and has an exhibition space of more than 14,000 square meters. It houses every artifact found on the rock and on the surrounding slopes, from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece. It also lies over the ruins of a part of Roman and early Byzantine Athens.

Following your visit of the museum, take a stroll with your group through the enchanting, traditional streets of Plaka, the colorful old quarter of Athens, rich in neoclassical, ancient monuments, and Byzantine Churches. Here in the Plaka, you will have a traditional Greek lunch before returning to your hotel where you will have some free time. The remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

    DAY 4

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Check out is at 11:00am. You will be transferred to the Athens International Airport per your flight schedule. Luggage storage is available at the hotel for guests with late flights.

•Due to use of chartered aircraft, this program can accommodate a maximum of 47 guests.

    DAY 1

After eating a hearty breakfast on board, disembark the ship in Alexandria, meet your guide and begin the 3-hour drive to Cairo. No stops are scheduled as the tour coaches have restrooms on board.

Your first visit in Cairo will be the area of the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx. Renowned as one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the last remaining of the ancient world wonders, the Great Pyramid is comprised of 2.3 million stone blocks, each weighing between 2.5 and 15 tons. Exactly how the ancient Egyptians constructed this architectural wonder remains a mystery.

The Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the face of a man, is also massive and towers 72 feet high and stretches 164 feet long. It faces east, greeting the rising sun each day.

View the exterior of each with ample photo taking opportunities.

Following lunch at a nearby restaurant, visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum which is considered to be the biggest archeological museum in Africa and the Middle East where the most important pieces of Egyptian ancient history are on display.

Spanning approximately 500,000 square meters, the Grand Egyptian Museum houses 100,000 artifacts showcasing Egypt's rich history. Its galleries offer a chronological journey through 3,000 years of Egyptian history, with exhibits from the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms. As of January 2025, the museum is partially open, with 12 main galleries, the Grand Staircase, and the Children's Museum accessible to visitors. The full official opening date is July 2025. Our group will see the main gallery.

Proceed to your hotel for check in and dinner.

    DAY 2

Due to the early wake up call, a breakfast box will be provided this morning before the group departs for the Cairo airport. Board a one-hour flight to Luxor where your first visit will be to the Karnak Temple.

Located about two miles north of the Luxor Temple but connected to it by an impressive avenue of sphinxes, the Karnak Temple was the most important sanctuary of ancient Egypt, and the heart of the cult of the god Amon. Each pharaoh added his own contribution to the temple over the ensuing 2,000 years.

The Ptolemies erected the massive first pylon you will see. Past the second pylon, which is guarded by a pair of huge statues of Ramses II, you will find the great hypo-style hall, the largest hall of any temple in the world. It spans 50,000 square feet and contains 134 enormous columns. You may notice that some of the columns still have traces of the brilliant paint that originally covered them. The third pylon leads to the center court, and past the fourth pylon is the 97-foot-high obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, carved from a solid piece of pink granite.

As you pass through successive pylons and courts, you will journey back in time until you reach the oldest part of the temple, built by the pharaohs of the middle kingdom around 2000 B.C. At the south end of the temple, you will find the sacred lake where ceremonial boats took part in the worship of Amon.

Next, embark on a Dahabeya boat for a cruise along the Nile including lunch. Disembark on the west bank of the city where you will explore the Valley of the Kings hidden in the foothills of the Gourma Mountains.

More than 60 tombs of pharaohs and noblemen have been excavated in this valley. The kings’ formal names and titles are inscribed in their tombs, along with their images and statues. Between the 18th and 20th dynasties, the kings abandoned the Memphis area and built their tombs in Thebes.

Enjoy a special visit to the longest and one of the most beautiful tombs in the valley known as Seti I Tomb. It is still recognized as an elaborately decorated monument from the times of Seti I and his son, Ramesses II.

The most fascinating aspects of the tomb are the well-crafted decorations that brought antiquity to vivid life

Next you will visit King Tutankhamun's tomb where his mummy still rests, and if time permits, you may be able to have a look into one or two other tombs in the area.

Next, a photo stop will be made at the Colossi of Memnon. This structure was originally built as a mortuary temple in Thebes and guarded by two gigantic statues on the outer gates. All that remains today are the 75-foot-high, 1,000-ton statues of Amenhotep III. Though damaged by nature and ancient tourists, the statues are still impressive, nonetheless.

NOTE: there are a series of steps (up to approximately 20 steps per chamber) to go down into the various tombs in the Valley of the Kings and the ground surrounding the tombs is uneven and dusty. It is also extremely hot here.

  • Discover the ancient wonders in and around Cairo, including the Great Pyramid of Giza, the complete King Tut collection, the medieval Citadel fortress, and a bazaar dating to the 14th century.

NOTE: This program involves extensive walking over uneven ground and is thus not suitable for guests with walking difficulties or for those who require a wheelchair or scooter.

    Day 1

Disembark the ship in Alexandria, meet your guide and Begin the 3-hour drive to Cairo. No stops are scheduled as the tour coaches have restrooms on board

Your first visit in Cairo will be the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx.

Following lunch at a nearby restaurant, your next will be visiting, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world’s largest archaeological museum. Spanning approximately 500,000 square meters, it houses over 100,000 artifacts showcasing Egypt's rich history. GEM's galleries offer a chronological journey through 3,000 years of Egyptian history, with exhibits from the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms.

Proceed to your hotel for check-in and dinner.

    Day 2

Following an early-morning breakfast at the hotel and check out, you will drive to a medieval Islamic fortress known simply as The Citadel and the adjacent Mosque of Muhammad Ali, which is often called the Alabaster Mosque due to the extensive use of that stone throughout the building. The mosque is the largest such structure built in Cairo during the first half of the 19th century and looks impressive even from a distance.

Following the visit of the Citadel, you will be visiting the unique Hanging Church. Known also as Al-Muallaqa Church, it is one of the oldest and most interesting Christian places of worship in Egypt.

The building rises atop one of the old Roman fortress gatehouses, with its nave suspended over the passage, hence the name “Hanging Church”, next to it St Sergis church built upon an ancient Roman fort in Old Cairo, This church has acquired a special religious status among Coptic churches because it is associated with the Holy Family's journey through Egypt, Like various other early Christian churches, the Church of Abu Serga and its underground cave are designed in the basilica layout, and thus together consist of three parts: the narthex, nave, and sanctuary (the cave being below the sanctuary).

The church is characterized by its unique architectural and artistic elements that reflect the spirit of Coptic church architecture in Egypt.

Farther along, visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Set in a shady garden, the synagogue was built on the site of a 4th-century Christian church and is amongst Egypt’s oldest synagogues.

Next, you will have the opportunity to browse Khan El-Khalili, an open-air bazaar established in the 14th Century. As you meander through the market’s labyrinthine alleyways, you will find everything from handcrafted jewelry to carpets and clothing. Enjoy exploring the fascinating maze of alleyways and workshops, where you can observe artisans at work and perhaps pick up a souvenir or two.

Lunch will be served in local restaurant.

Next, you will be visiting the Step Pyramid of Sakkara, which overlooks Djoser’s mortuary complex. Dating from 2700 BC, the Step Pyramid is the oldest stone structure in the world and was designed by Imhotep for King Djoser. The complex also contains 16 other pyramids in various stages of preservation.

Because the necropolis complex was buried beneath the sands for much of the past two millennia, even the sizable mortuary surrounding Djoser’s pyramid was not unearthed until 1924. As a result, many of the mastaba tombs have been superbly preserved with both their structures and lavish interior decorations intact.

Following your visit, return to Alexandria where you will re-board the ship.

Walk the hallowed grounds of Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery, while exploring the compelling stories at Caen's Peace Memorial and Arromanches' D-Day Museum. Experience the perfect blend of wartime history, culture, and coastal beauty on this immersive land program—where every day honors the past while celebrating the spirit of these remarkable regions.

    DAY 1

Begin your enriching Normandy adventure as you disembark in the charming port of Honfleur and make your way to the picturesque city center, where timber-framed houses and cobblestone streets create an irresistible charm.

Your guide will lead you through the town's most captivating corners, sharing stories of the artists who found inspiration here and the sailors who once departed from these very quays. Discover the unique Sainte-Catherine Church, built entirely of wood by shipwrights, and wander past galleries and boutiques that capture the town's creative spirit. After your guided exploration, enjoy some free time to perhaps sip a coffee at a waterfront café or browse for local treasures.

Your journey continues to the Calvados Experience in Pont l'Évêque, where you will delve into the art of crafting Normandy's most celebrated spirit. During your visit, you will learn about the traditional distillation process and the aging techniques that give Calvados its distinctive character, followed by a tasting session where you can savor the complex flavors of this apple brandy.

The preserved bunkers and bomb craters offer a powerful glimpse into the intensity of the battle.

Continuing along the coast, you will arrive at the legendary Omaha Beach, where you will have time for a photo stop at this iconic stretch of sand that witnessed some of the fiercest fighting of the invasion. The peaceful shoreline today stands in stark contrast to the events of June 6th, 1944.

Your next visit brings you to the beautifully maintained American Cemetery of Colleville-sur-mer, overlooking Omaha Beach. Here, rows of white markers honor the final resting place of over 9,000 American servicemen, a deeply moving experience that commemorates their ultimate sacrifice.

Immerse yourself in the captivating atmosphere of Saint-Malo as your guide leads you through centuries of maritime history. Wander through the atmospheric old town, where granite buildings and narrow lanes tell stories of legendary corsairs who once called this fortress home. The imposing ramparts offer breathtaking panoramas of the emerald coastline, while hidden squares and the magnificent cathedral reveal the city's architectural treasures. Your guide will share fascinating tales of adventure, trade, and the indomitable spirit that has defined this remarkable port city throughout the ages.

Following your guided walk, enjoy a brief drive to the port, taking in final glimpses of this beautiful coastal city before re-boarding the ship.
