Before You Sail

Q: When do I receive tickets and documentation?
A: After receipt of final payment and required guest information, cruise documents will be sent to guests approximately 25 days prior to departure. If you are on aa Regent air/sea program, your flight itinerary will be issued wherever possible in the form of e-tickets. Airlines have mandated that all travel agencies and cruise lines issue e-tickets on all e-ticket eligible itineraries. If passengers require a paper ticket on an e-ticket eligible itinerary, airline fees will be assessed.

Q: What is your policy on passports and visas?
A: The latest information regarding passports and visas for U.S. and Canadian residents can be viewed here. It is the policy of Regent Seven Seas Cruises to require passports for ALL travelers for all voyages, regardless of guests' nationality and ports of call and countries visited. Passports must be valid for six months beyond the conclusion of your cruise. Please obtain or renew your passports early. Consult your travel professional or customs authority for documentation requirements for your cruise.

NOTE: The U.S. State Department maintains up-to-date information on travel document requirements worldwide. For more information, please visit http://travel.state.gov.

For information on obtaining or renewing a passport, visit the State Department web site Passports page. Passport instructions and application forms can also be downloaded from the Zierer Visa Services website at www.zvs.com.

Visa requirements must be verified and obtained approximately 90 days prior to sailing. Required visas by cruise may be found at  www.zvs.com/rssc.

Blanket visas through RSSC cover only our shore excursions, not trips that passengers decide to do by themselves. It is the passenger's responsibility to determine passport and visa requirements for their cruise itinerary. It is the guests' responsibility to ensure that they are in possession of all required visas and travel documents prior to sailing.

Q: How do I pre-book shore excursions online?
A: Shore excursions may be reserved online beginning 180 days before your cruise sails by creating an account via the My Account section of our website.

Q: How do I pre-book dining reservations online?
A: Dining reservations may be reserved online beginning 30 days before your cruise sails by creating an account via the My Account section of our website.

Q: How can I ship luggage to/from the ship?
A: Our partnership with Luggage Free can help you make the necessary arrangements to ship, door-to-door, any additional baggage or equipment you may want, without the bother of taking it yourself. Luggage Free, a custom luggage-shipping and delivery service, provides guests with door-to-door luggage shipping, avoiding the inconvenience of carrying, checking and claiming luggage - and even going through customs. Using the service, guests can even make reservations online. Within 24 hours after your order is placed nationwide (six hours in New York City), Luggage Free sends a representative to your home, wraps each bag in protective covering, and transfers them to the nearest airport. The bags are placed in Luggage Free's forward freight system, and then delivered to your destination via its airborne infrastructure. After the bags land, Luggage Free picks them up at the airport, clearing international shipments through customs. Finally, Luggage Free transfers the bags to their ultimate destination address. The process is reversed for the return trip. Guests can make arrangements to have their luggage transported from their home to the ship, and back home from any international port at the end of their cruise by contacting Luggage Free directly: 800-361-6871; sales@luggagefree.com; and www.luggagefree.com.

Q: Is there a limit on baggage?
A: The amount of personal baggage allowed on our vessels is not limited, but airlines do have limitations. The customary allowance per person is two checked pieces that must not exceed 107 inches (273 cm) when length, height and width measurements are combined. No single piece may exceed the three-dimensional sum of 62 inches (158 cm) and a weight of 70 lbs. (31.75 kg).

Q: What should I pack?
A:

Attire ranges from Casual to Formal Optional. Casual wear is appropriate for daytime on board or ashore, and consists of resort-style outfits. Casual wear, including shorts and jeans, is not considered appropriate after 6:00 p.m. Evening attire falls into one of two categories, Elegant Casual and Formal Optional. Elegant Casual wear includes skirt, or slacks (no jeans) with blouse or sweater, pant suit or dress for ladies; slacks (no jeans) and collared shirt for gentlemen. Sport jackets are optional. While Elegant Casual is always appropriate, during Formal Optional evenings featured on longer cruises, guests may opt for a more formal choice of clothing including gowns and cocktail dresses for ladies; tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suit with tie for gentlemen.

Q: How can I find the dress code for each sailing?
A: Dress Codes for each evening are listed on the Itinerary tab of each cruise.

Q: I am in suite 816 on Seven Seas Mariner. Why do my bag tags say deck 8F?
A: The F means Forward deck which helps in the loading of bags on the pier.

Q: What if I have dietary restrictions?
A: Please advise Regent Seven Seas Cruises of any special dietary requirements you may have 90 days prior to sailing by sending an e-mail to rsscops@rssc.com. General dietary needs such as low salt or low cholesterol foods can be satisfied onboard the ship just by speaking with the dining wait staff.

Q: What if I am celebrating a special occasion?
A: If you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon or other special occasion during your cruise, allow us to celebrate with you by advising us on your Guest Information Form which may be completed in the My Account section of our website.
