Known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” Dubrovnik was founded in the 7th century by a group of refugees from Epidaurum (today’s Cavtat). It is known worldwide for its unique marble-paved squares, tall houses, steep-cobbled streets and fountains. The city walls, once used to as protection against its enemies, now keep motorists at bay in this picturesque town. UNESCO named the Old City a World Heritage Site, and Dubrovnik’s beautiful historic sites have been restored.

Those who seek paradise on earth, George Bernard Shaw once wrote, "should come to Dubrovnik." Today he might add that Dubrovnik is the place for all those who wish to renew themselves and their faith in human nature.
After a photo stop, enjoy a pleasant drive along the Zupa Dubrovacka Riviera towards the town of Cavtat and the famous Konavoski Dvori restaurant. The drive takes you through picturesque villages of the green and fertile Konavle Valley.
The Konavoski Dvori restaurant is perfectly situated in an old mill next to the cascading waters of the Ljuta River and is considered one of the most beautiful and attractive restaurants on the entire Croatian Adriatic coast. Here, your gracious host will offer you a light snack of local specialties such as smoked ham, cheese, homemade bread and a glass of local wine.
Departing the Konavoski Dvori restaurant, enjoy a pleasant ride before you reach the seaside resort of Cavtat. After visiting Cavtat continue to Pile Square - the western entrance of Dubrovnik's old town, where you find yourself at the beginning of the famous main street - the Stradun. Here you will have the opportunity to walk through the old town with your experienced guide and enjoy the beauty of this town before returning to the ship.
