From here, your drive will continue on to the Kingston Church ruins, which served as the island's Anglican Church and school in 1807, and Josiah's Bay ruins, a former sugar mill converted into an art gallery. Here, you will learn about the days when sugar played a dominant role in the island's economy.
Next, you will proceed along scenic Ridge Road for splendid views of the island. Along the way, a stop will be made at Sky World, located 1,500 feet above sea level. From the observation deck, you will take in spectacular panoramic views and photo opportunities of the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. Afterward, you will descend to sea level for a brief visit to a 400-year-old rum distillery that remains in operation to this day. Your final stop will be at the Old Government House Museum and Gardens for a self-guided tour.
Following your visit, you will have the option of returning directly to the ship, or being dropped off in Road Town for shopping.
