See South Florida from two very different perspectives: zipping around the Everglades in an airboat and then leisurely cruising Biscayne Bay, home to Miami's rich and famous.

Depart from the pier and begin driving southwest. Before long, modern downtown Ft. Lauderdale will fade from view and you'll be in the heart of the Everglades, one of the world's most unique ecosystems. Arriving at Safari Park, you'll hop aboard an airboat for a thrilling half-hour ride through the immense, watery wilderness that the Seminole Indians call "pahay okee," which means "grassy water." The naturally beautiful Everglades supports thousands of species of plants and animals, the most renowned being the American Alligator, which can grow up to 16 feet long. There's no telling what you will see while zipping along, although alligators, egrets, iguanas and turtles are frequently spotted.

Then, after some free time to explore Safari Park, you'll drive to Miami for a traditional Cuban lunch at a local Cuban restaurant. Enjoy the classic ambiance and hearty meal before heading off to nearby Biscayne Bay, where you'll board a sightseeing boat for a relaxing cruise. You'll pass the Port of Miami, where so many cruise ships come and go each year, and see mansion after mansion in the luxurious neighborhoods on Palm Island, Hibiscus Island and Star Island. While cruising, the captain will offer a brief history of Miami and point out the homes of the rich and famous. Afterward, you'll drive back to the pier in Ft. Lauderdale.

Please note: While this tour includes a limited amount of walking, mostly at the guests' discretion during free time, the airboat ride can be a high adrenalin adventure. Participants must be able to step from the dock onto the airboat and there will be steps to negotiate to board the sightseeing boat. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to carefully evaluate their level of stamina and ability. Weather appropriate clothing which should include a light jacket to protect from wind or possible water splash; sun cap; sunglasses; sunscreen; insect repellant; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are suggested. The sequence of the sites viewed or visited may vary.
