Cozumel is the largest inhabited island in Mexico, which lies just off the mainland. The coasts are known for large, breaking surf on the east side, and calmer waters for diving on the west side. In 1959, Jacques Cousteau discovered the beauty of Palancar, the coral reefs at the south of Cozumel and publicized it as one of the best places to go scuba diving in the world. Diving is still Cozumel's primary draw, mainly due to the healthy coral reef marine communities.

    This unique, high-adrenaline ATV adventure tour takes you on a trek through the Cozumel jungle to the ancient holy grounds where local Mayan Indians dwelled over a thousand years ago.

    A brief drive from the pier brings you to the jungle Welcome Station where your single-person, 250cc ATV is waiting for you. Following a short safety briefing, you'll don your helmet, goggles and complimentary bandana before taking off with your guide for a thrilling journey down narrow, winding jungle paths that have been carved through the lush tropical vegetation. Along your route, you'll no doubt also encounter a variety of local birds and other native creatures, such as the island's colorful iguanas. You will also visit some Mayan replicas, a Chiclero base camp and Mayan planting camp.

    Following the ATV portion of your tour, you take a shore transfer by bus from the base camp to Playa Mia Grand Beach Park. You will have approximately 90-minutes here to enjoy a tasty buffet style lunch and refreshments, swim in the beautiful water, relax on the beach or make use of the non-motorized water equipment. Afterwards, you'll rejoin your bus and travel back to the pier and your awaiting ship.

    Please note: The ATV portion of the tour travels over bumpy and uneven ground and goggles and a helmet must be worn at all times. The track can also become very dusty and/or muddy. This tour is not available to guests who utilize a wheelchair and those with mobility concerns, heart problems, asthma, epilepsy, recent back or neck injuries, conditions or injuries that would prohibit jarring and bouncing, or pregnant women. No one under the influence of alcohol or drugs may operate the ATV vehicle. Comfortable, flat shoes with closed-toes must be worn - no sandals are allowed. Light, comfortable clothing; swimwear; sun cap; sunglasses; a towel; and long pants are recommended as well as sun protection and insect repellant. Minimum age to operate the vehicle is 16 years old and all tour participants must bring a valid drivers' license and sign a release form before being allowed to operate the ATV. Maximum weight limit for the ATV's is 364 lbs.

Free Unlimited Shore Excursions are for full fare guests only, capacity controlled and subject to availability. Requested excursions may not be available at time of booking. Supplement will apply on Regent Choice excursions (indicated by the above) and excludes Private Arrangements and all Adventures Ashore programs. In order to ensure quality guides and sufficient transportation, we must provide the tour operator with passenger counts at least 36 hours in advance. Therefore no refunds will be given within 36 hours of tour departure for cancellations or no-shows. Please pay special attention to scheduling and tour lengths when booking your shore excursions. In many cases, it is not possible to participate in more than one tour per day in a given port. Tour Departure times are subject to change so please reference your actual tour ticket for the correct departure time. Tours operate rain or shine. Minor children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a an adult parent or guardian on all shore excursions. Tours require minimum participation levels to operate so please sign up as early as possible. Tours may be cancelled if minimum participation levels are not met. Prices, Itineraries and General Information shore excursion prices are subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases or currency fluctuations. During local or national holidays, access to certain facilities (such as museums or archaeological sites) may be limited or denied. In such instances, adjustments will be made to minimize inconvenience to guests. Some tours have limited availability. Tours are generally available for reserving 180 days prior to the beginning of a cruise. Please sign up early to avoid disappointment.
