Featured Luminaries: Gwen Ifill, David Fanning and Charlie Cook
Guests will have the extraordinary opportunity to sit front and center as celebrated journalist, analyst and author Gwen Ifill joins the voyage. Always thought-provoking, gracious and dynamic, Ifill will discuss her role as Moderator and Managing Editor of the Peabody Award-winning political affairs program Washington Week, her post as a senior correspondent for The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, and her acclaimed new book, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.
FRONTLINE is America’s longest running investigative documentary series on television and executive producer and founder David Fanning will join Public Television at Sea for the first time in 2009. Under Fanning’s guidance, FRONTLINE has received every major award for broadcast journalism, including 39 Emmys and 13 Peabodys.
In addition, Charlie Cook, one of Washington’s top political authorities, returns to Public Television at Sea to share his considerable experience and insight. Guests may participate in interactive panel discussions and mingle with Gwen, David, Charlie and other guests at private cocktail receptions and dinners.
