Bali is a tropical island that has been described as "heaven on earth," for this tiny Hindu island is blessed with an ethereal beauty and infused with a sense of mysticism. The Hindu influence grew during the 14th century when the Majapahit Empire conquered the island, and introduced Hindu art and dance. This resulted in a specialized Hindu culture developing. Bali is the largest Hindu outpost outside of India and everyday life revolves around the religion.
The following Shore Excursions are available for this port on this cruise, and may be reserved beginning 180 days before the cruise begins.
Bali's picturesque beauty is yours to discover during this relaxing visit to the resort village of Candidasa.
You will depart the pier for the 45-minute drive to the East Bali resort village of Candidasa. En route, you will pass by the mountains and village markets, and see papaya, jack fruit, coffee, cacao and other lush vegetation growing on either side of the road leading to the resort.
Upon reaching the resort, lovely girls in traditional dress will greet your arrival with a welcome drink. You will then be served lunch, and have use of the resort's beach and swimming pool during your visit. Looking out from the resort, you will be able to view the ship, along with the islands of Peneeda and Lembongan in the distance.
Following your visit, you will re-board your coach for the 45-minute return drive to the pier.
Please note: Deck chairs, beach towels and outdoor sun beds will be provided. Guests wishing to spend time at the resort's pool or beach are strongly advised to bring along a swimsuit, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a towel from the ship.

In many cases, it is not possible to participate in more than one tour per day in a given port. Tours operate rain or shine. Tours require minimum participation levels to operate so please sign up as early as possible. Tours may be cancelled if minimum participation levels are not met. Prices, Itineraries and General Information shore excursion prices are subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases or currency fluctuations. During local or national holidays, access to certain facilities (such as museums or archaeological sites) may be limited or denied. In such instances, adjustments will be made to minimize inconvenience to guests. Some tours have limited availability. Tours are generally available for reserving 180 days prior to the beginning of a cruise. Please sign up early to avoid disappointment.
