Port: Grand Turk
|
Grand Turk
Grand Turk is the capital of Turks & Caicos, and it has been a longtime favorite destination for divers eager to explore the 7,000-foot-deep pristine coral walls that drop down only 300 yards out to sea. On shore, the tiny island is home to white-sand beaches, the National Museum, and a few wild horses and donkeys, which leisurely meander past the white-walled courtyards, pretty churches, and bougainvillea-covered colonial inns on their daily commute into town.
The following Shore Excursions are available for this port on this cruise, and may be reserved beginning 180 days before the cruise begins.
If you have always wanted to learn to dive, then don't miss this Discover Scuba tour on the world's third-largest barrier reef.
You will be met on the pier by your diving instructor/guide, and proceed directly to the dive shop. Upon arrival, you will be outfitted with your equipment, receive your safety briefing and depart via boat to your Discover Scuba destination, a pristine coral reef. Your instructor will provide you with the basic scuba instruction you will require in order to get up-close and personal with the incredible sea life and a myriad of colorful fish. Your instructor will also provide you with assistance in the water.
After your dive session, you will re-board your boat for the relaxing ride back to the dive shop. Following a brief stop, you will return to the pier.
