In 1841, Hong Kong became a British Crown colony when it was acquired from China. In 1984, Britain and China signed an agreement which stated Hong Kong would return to China, but that it would maintain in its capitalist system for 50 years. This transfer took place during on June 30, 1997 under great pomp and ceremony. Its enormous harbor, vast industrialization and free port status make it a major Asian crossroad, and perhaps the best place to shop in the world.

Seated Tour Limited Mobility

Experience the scenic beauty and splendid sites of Hong Kong during this panoramic half-day sightseeing tour of the city.

Depart the pier for Hong Kong Island via the Harbor Tunnel, then take a scenic uphill drive to Victoria Peak. Upon arrival, a stop will be made for unforgettable views and photo opportunities of the city, harbor and beyond.

Next, your drive will continue past the green and low block houses toward the southern side of the island, and on to beautiful Repulse Bay. Here, you will take in splendid views of the South China Sea, beautiful beaches and a uniquely-designed luxury apartment building adorned with a hole in the middle; the hole is believed to be Feng Shui-related.

Afterward, you will return to Kowloon via the Western Tunnel, and proceed on the highway to the New Territories. Along the way, you will drive on one of the world's largest civil engineering projects, the Tsingma Bridge, which offers a wonderful view of the passage to the ocean. At the town of Tung Chung, you will have an opportunity for a photo stop via the Ngong Ping 360 Skyrail - a scenic and unique way to view the Hong Kong Airport runway, and the Po Lin Monastery where the giant Buddha is located.

Following your tour, you will be transferred back to the pier.

Please note: This tour has been specially created for guests not wishing to walk. The tour includes three photo stops, and one comfort stop; the remainder of the tour will be spent on the coach. Each guest will have a window seat on the coach to maximize his or her view of the sites to be seen along the way.
