Nha Trang
Nha Trang is situated in Vietnam's southern Champa Kingdom along the Song Cai River. In ancient times, this southern region was once a peaceful Champa settlement. It was attacked by the Vietnamese at the end of the 15th century, though it remained under Champa control until the mid 17th century when the Nguyen Lords of Hue took possession. From the city of Nha Trang, several ancient Cham Towers can be visited, each revealing details of the unique culture of the Chams.
The following Shore Excursions are available for this port on this cruise, and may be reserved beginning 180 days before the cruise begins.

The ancient civilizations of Vietnam are yours to discover during this scenic tour of Nha Trang.
Depart the pier for the scenic drive to Nha Trang, a lovely, serene little town spread out along the length of a beautiful sandy beach, with a backdrop of hills and rocky outcrops. Upon arrival, a stop will be made at Long Son Pagoda, founded in the late-19th century, and re-built several times since. It is adorned by an entranceway and roofs that are decorated with mosaic dragons made of glass and ceramic tile, and is currently home to fewer than ten monks. From the Pagoda, you will have an opportunity to climb the 152 stone steps leading to the giant white Buddha seated on a lotus blossom. Superb views of the entire city can be observed from the platforms around the 40-foot-tall Buddha, which was built in 1963. Next, you will walk across Ha Ra Bridge to photograph the abundance of fishing boats moored in the shallow Nha Trang Harbor. These boats are brightly-painted in blue and red, and a very colorful sight indeed.
From the harbor, you will continue on to see the Po Nagar Cham Towers. The tower complex has been well preserved, the Towers are evidence of the ancient Cham civilization built between the 7th and 12th centuries on a site used for Hindu worship. Today, both ethnic Chinese and Vietnamese Buddhists come to Po Nagar to pray. You will then proceed to the center of Nha Trang for a visit to the Dam market, where you will find local produce, fruit, vegetables and seafood. After browsing through the Dam market, you can shop for souvenirs, then relax and enjoy a refreshing coconut drink at one of Nha Trang's beautiful beachfront cafes. Some time will be made here for a quick swim or sunbathing on the sandy beach.
Your tour concludes with a stop at the beautiful XQ embroidery workshop. Here, you will admire the skill and creativity of hundreds of Vietnamese artists crafting their embroidered works of art before rejoining your coach for the return drive to the pier and ship.
Please note: Shoes must be removed before entering any of the four remaining towers at Po Nagar. Guests wishing to go swimming should wear their swimsuit under their clothing.
