Praslin Island

Praslin is the second largest island of the Seychelles, lying north east of Mahé. Originally known as a hideaway by pirates and Arab merchants, Lazare Picault named the island “Isle de Palmes” in 1744. In 1768 it was renamed Praslin in honor of Cesar Gabriel de Choiseul, duc de Praslin, a French diplomat. Tropical forests and nature preserves abound, housing the unique coco de mer and vanilla orchids.

Depart the pier for the scenic transfer to Cote d'Or Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Seychelles and the world. Upon arrival, you will be served refreshments, then have some time for shopping or strolling on the beach before rejoining your coach for the return drive to the pier.

Please note: Guests are encouraged to wear their swimsuit under a cover-up with beach shoes, and bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses from the ship. There are no changing facilities at the beach. There is a very limited number of lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach, and their availability cannot be guaranteed. Guests who participate in any water activities do so at their own risk and responsibility.
