This tour is geared to give participants a taste of local life in Lome. Boarding your coach at the pier, you will commence a scenic drive through the various quarters of Lome and the Sio Valley on your way to Klobateme village.
Upon arrival at the village, the Royal Court will be on hand to greet you with a traditional welcome ceremony. Not only will you have the unique privilege of greeting an African monarch, you will be afforded an authentic glimpse of life in this rural region of Togo. After receiving your greeting, you will be invited to sit under one of the patios in the village and enjoy a local Atimevu folkdance performed by the villagers.
Following your visit to Klobateme, you will re-board your coach and travel past the renowned Fetish market, which locals will often refer to as the "local medicine market". The Fetish market is where the Togolese often come to search for remedies, potions and magical talismans which they believe will assist them in healing serious ailments or simply give them good luck.
From here it's a short drive back to the pier where your tour concludes.
Please note: This tour includes minimal walking over mostly even surfaces. The tour is available to guests who utilize a wheelchair and who are able to both make their way on and off the coach and sit in a coach seat. Those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina. Comfortable, flat walking shoes are suggested. Please bear in mind that you will be visiting an under-developed destination which will not have the same amenities and comforts that you would find in more urban areas.

Therefore no refunds will be given within 36 hours of tour departure for cancellations or no-shows. Please pay special attention to scheduling and tour lengths when booking your shore excursions. In many cases, it is not possible to participate in more than one tour per day in a given port. Tours operate rain or shine. Tours require minimum participation levels to operate so please sign up as early as possible. Tours may be cancelled if minimum participation levels are not met. Prices, Itineraries and General Information shore excursion prices are subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases or currency fluctuations. During local or national holidays, access to certain facilities (such as museums or archaeological sites) may be limited or denied. In such instances, adjustments will be made to minimize inconvenience to guests. Some tours have limited availability.
