Cape Town
Often regarded as one of the world's most beautiful cities because of its geography, Cape Town is one of the most popular South African destinations. Cape Town was home to many leaders of the anti-apartheid movement, despite many of the group's leaders' internment on Robben Island, a penitentiary island where many famous political prisoners were held for many years. One of the most famous moments marking the end of apartheid occurred in Cape Town, when Nelson Mandela made his first public speech in decades hours after being released.
The following Shore Excursions are available for this port on this cruise, and may be reserved beginning 180 days before the cruise begins.

Experience breathtaking views and photo opportunities over Cape Town during this brief, yet memorable visit to Signal Hill.
Depart the ship for the drive along Kloof Nek to Signal Hill. This famous, flat-topped hill is located next to Lion's Head and Table Mountain in Cape Town, and renowned for its noon gun, which is operated by the South African Astronomical Observatory (not visited). The road to the summit features a vantage point where spectacular views over Cape Town and the surrounding area can be observed, especially at dawn and sunset.
Upon arrival at the summit, you will take in dramatic sunset views over Table Bay and Cape Town, and be served a selection of canapés and a glass of sparkling wine.
Following your visit, you will re-board your coach for the return drive to the pier, passing Camps Bay, Clifton, Bantry Bay, Sea Point and Green Point along the way.
Please note: Signal Hill is easily accessible for guests with limited mobility and guests in wheelchairs. However, the set-up location may change depending upon weather conditions, and instead take place on a hill with a gravel road requiring a 328-foot walk to access. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and a windbreaker. This tour is strictly weather-dependent.
