The island of Barbados is rimmed by beaches. The eastern edge, rugged and hilly, lies on the Atlantic Ocean. The west coast is washed by the calmer leeward sea and has most of the resort hotels. It is on this side that you will find the capital, Bridgetown, and the older settlement towns. Barbados has seaside villages and English country churches that date from the 17th century.

Embrace the natural and artistic beauty of Barbados during this scenic visit to Hunte's Gardens, and a tour of the renowned Medford Mahogany Creations facility.
Depart the pier for the scenic drive across the island en route to Hunte's Gardens, one of Barbados' best-kept secrets. Mr. Hunte will greet your arrival and take you on a tour of the gardens, which feature an abundance of flowers, shrubs and trees. Afterward, he will invite you to sit on his porch and relax with a refreshing drink while he regales you with some of his stories about life in the tropics.
Next, your tour will continue with a drive through the countryside and see the local lifestyle of Barbados' friendly villagers before arriving at Medford Mahogany's facility. Upon arrival, your host, Mr. Medford will take you on an interactive tour of the only mahogany carving factory on the island. You will marvel at his skills during a demonstration before touring the workshop.
Following your visit, you will rejoin your coach for the brief return drive to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves 40 steps to negotiate at Hunte's Gardens. Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended.
