Explore the local history, culture and lifestyle of Mindelo during a scenic and informative walking tour through the city.

Depart the pier for the brief transfer into Mindelo, a small, clean and quiet city featuring colorful, Colonial-style houses and buildings. Upon arrival, you will commence your guided walking tour. Along the way, you will meet local residents and see historic landmarks that include the National Handicraft Museum, or Centro Nacional de Artesanato, the Mindelo Cultural Center, Independence Plaza, the Amilcar Cabral Garden, the vegetable and fish markets, and local churches.

Your tour will conclude at the Porto Grande Hotel, where a brief stop will be made for refreshments that include local beer, coffee, soft drinks or water, with entertainment provided by a local musician.

Following your visit, you will rejoin your coach for the brief return drive to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves approximately 2 hours of walking, mostly over flat surfaces, with 30 steps to negotiate.
