Boarding your coach at the pier, you will drive alongside the picturesque St. Peter's Port harbour, passing the 12th Century church of St. Peter Port and continuing up to the top of Les Val des Terres. Your route then takes you through the pretty floral village of St. Martins before arriving at The Little Chapel in Les Vauxbelets. The Little Chapel is thought to be the smallest consecrated church in the world, built as a labor of love by Brother Dodat whose plan was to create a miniature version of the famous grotto and basilica at Lourdes. The Little Chapel is beautifully decorated in mosaics of seashells, pebbles and donated pieces of Wedgewood and Royal Doulton china.
Leaving The Little Chapel, your coach will continue through charming country lanes as you head to the west coast where there will be a short stop. Here, from a high vantage point atop the Pleinmot cliffs, you will have the opportunity to capture some memorable photos of the beautiful seascape laid out before you.
Descending from the cliffs, you will view the Napoleonic Martello Tower of Fort Grey, nestled inside the natural fishing harbor of Rocquaine Bay. Your coach will then proceed along the west coast past the glorious sandy beaches of L'Eree and Vazon, before turning inland to return you to the ship.
A stop will be made along the route for you to purchase refreshments and souvenirs.
Please note: This tour includes approximately 30 minutes of walking. There are also approximately 12 steps at the Little Chapel, plus any additional walking at the guests' discretion during free time.
