Discover the beauty of Kuala Lumpur during this tour of Putrajaya's Botanical Garden, Government Center and Mosque.
This tour to Putrajaya, the new Administrative Center of the Federal Government of Malaysia, is a must for those who wish to see Kuala Lumpur's garden city of the future.
Depart the pier for the drive to Putrajaya, located about 16 miles south of Kuala Lumpur on a magnificent 11,315-acre expanse. About 40% of Putrajaya's scenic beauty consists of lush greenery and botanical gardens enhanced by large bodies of water and wetlands. Upon arrival, you'll visit the 227-acre Putrajaya Botanical Garden, or Taman Botani, the largest botanical garden in Malaysia. This lovely garden provides a peaceful, quiet place for contemplation and introspection, and is divided into three sections: flowers, ornamental plants, and preservation and research.
Continue on to see the eye-catching Prime Minister's office, along with the numerous government complexes located in the new Putrajaya Government Center. The most imposing structure in Putrajaya is the thin, pinkish-hued Putrajaya Mosque. Adjacent to Dataran Putra and facing Putrajaya Lake, the Putrajaya Mosque incorporates architectural elements from Turkestan, Kazakhstan and Morocco.
Following your tour of Putrajaya, you'll embark on the return drive to the pier and ship.
