Discover why Kuala Lumpur is often referred to as the Garden City during this scenic, full-day visit to its beautifully landscaped parks and colorful gardens.
Depart the pier for the drive through the township of Port Kelang, then on to the Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur's most popular park. Built around a manmade lake, this lushly-landscaped, 226-acre park features well-manicured lawns, flowering shrubs, leafy green trees, and gardens filled with exotic species of orchids and many colorful varieties of hibiscus, the national flower.
Next, you will visit the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, or Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur, a public aviary that is adjacent to the Perdana Lake Gardens of Kuala Lumpur. A popular tourist attraction in the country, the expansive bird park attracts an average of 200,000 visitors annually. Its enclosed aviary houses more than 5,000 birds representing over 50 species. Of these 5,000 birds, 90 percent are indigenous and ten percent are imported from overseas.
Your tour will continue with a visit to the equally-amazing butterfly park located nearby. The tropical rainforest environment found here is home to over 6,000 whimsical butterflies. Included is a visit to the butterfly nursery and breeding area.
After a buffet lunch at the Prince Hotel, you will proceed for a photo stop at the spectacular, world-renowned Petronas Twin Towers, the world's tallest twin buildings. Your tour will conclude with approximately 1 hour of free time for shopping at the Suria KLCC, a modern, six-level shopping mall. At the designated time, you will rejoin the coach for the return drive to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves approximately 1 mile of walking.
