Barcelona's Gothic and Medieval history is yours to discover during a picturesque orientation tour of the city.
Depart the pier for the drive through the center of Barcelona. Along the way, a stop will be made in front of the old city walls in the Gothic Quarter to visit the Barcelona Cathedral and its cloister. From here, you will continue on to Plaça Sant Jaume, site of the Town Hall and Generalitat buildings, then on to Plaça del Rei, site of the History Museum of the City.
Next, you will leave the Gothic Quarter for a guided panoramic tour of the city's sites, including Montjuïc, Plaça de Espanya, Gran Via, Rambla Catalunya, and Passeig de Gràcia. En route, a photo stop will be made at Sagrada Familia.
Afterward, you will have the opportunity to visit Montjuïc Mountain, another important area of the city where many of the Barcelona's Olympic sites are located. Upon arrival, you will visit a wonderful museum located inside the National Palace of Catalonia. This museum specializes in Gothic and Romanic art, but also features Panteocrats and Gothic pieces found in Old Barcelona, as well as temporary exhibitions on display. Following your visit, you will re-board your coach for the return drive to the pier.
Please note: Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes for this tour, which involves 3 hours of moderate walking over flat, inclined and uneven surfaces, extended periods of standing and more than 30 steps to climb at the entrance of the Barcelona Cathedral. This tour is not considered suitable for guests with limited mobility or guests who utilize a wheelchair.
