Travel outside the city of Trincomalee to the lush environs of Habarana where you will spend a relaxing afternoon at the charming Cinnamon Lodge.
It's a scenic 2-hour drive from the pier to Habarana, located at the heart of Sri Lanka's world famous cultural triangle of Kandy-Anuradhapura-Polonnaruwa. Upon arrival at the Cinnamon Lodge, your time is at your leisure and you will no doubt make many delightful discoveries in the resort's over 27 acres of resplendent beauty that is shielded by over 1700 tall trees and surrounded by three nature reserves-Ritigala, Minneriya and Kaudulla.
During your visit of just over 4-hours, the possibilities for leisure activities here are endless. One thing you will certainly want to do is take a stroll about the lush grounds where it is easy to forget this area of Sri Lanka is referred to as "The Dry Zone". This fabulous resort was conceived for the modern-day eco-tourist and was designed to be fully in harmony with its surroundings, representing green hospitality at its best.
Some of the resort's amenities that you may wish to take advantage of are the Azmaara Spa, which creates an extraordinarily magical atmosphere. Soft, serene music enhances the Spa's already peaceful ambiance, making you want to linger as long as possible. Available treatments include: Massages, Body Scrubs and Wraps, Manicure and Pedicure, Facials and Packages that can be specially designed for you. (Spa packages are not included in your tour cost and Spa treatments are subject to availability with payment being made directly to the Spa by the guest).
Other activities available for your enjoyment are sunbathing by the large and uniquely designed pool which will surely beckon you to take a refreshing swim. For the more active, perhaps a game of tennis or an invigorating jog. Indoor entertainment includes backgammon and chess. A buffet lunch served in the main restaurant is included as well as a welcome drink and there are other venues located around the resort where you can purchase a snack or beverage.
At the conclusion of your stay, you will re-board your coach for the 2-hour return transfer to your awaiting ship in Trimcomalee.
Please note: Walking on this tour is mainly at the guests' discretion. Total travel time by coach is approximately 4-hours. The tour is available to wheelchair guests who have a collapsible wheelchair, are able to make their own way on and off the coach and have a companion to assist them. Those with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Light cotton clothing; sun cap; sunglasses; sunscreen and flat, comfortable walking shoes are suggested. Those who wish to swim should bring swimwear and any guests taking part in water activities do so at their own risk and responsibility.
