Duration: 5 hours

Tour Code: MUA-002

The unique history, culture and traditions of Brunei are yours to discover during this scenic tour of Bandar.

Depart the pier for the drive into Bandar, the capital city of the 600-year-old Sultanate of Brunei. Upon arrival, your orientation tour of the city's cultural and royal heritage will begin with a guided tour of the Brunei Museum. Along the way, you will view galleries highlighting the Brunei Malay people, the royal lineage and rare Islamic art, which includes the personal collection of His Majesty, Sultan Hussanal Bolkiah.

Next, you will rejoin your coach for the drive to the Brunei River jetty. You will then embark a boat for a ride along the vast water village of 20,000 inhabitants, and visit one of the houses for tea and local cakes.

Afterward, you will proceed for a visit to the Jame Mosque, one of the most magnificent mosques in the region, followed by a visit to the nearby Royal Regalia, dedicated to the Silver Jubilee celebration of His Majesty.

Your tour will conclude with a photo stop at the palace before rejoining your coach for the return drive to the pier.

Please note: Conservative dress is required inside the mosque; shoulders and knees must be covered. Scarves are not necessary, but considered a nice gesture if worn. Non-Muslims will need to don a robe before entering the mosque. Shoes must be removed before entering the mosque and Royal Regalia. All mosques are closed to inside visits on Thursdays and Fridays. Cameras are not permitted inside the museum, Royal Regalia and mosque. Please follow the tour guide's instructions regarding photography, as it is only permitted in specified areas. The order of sites visited may vary.
