Light Activity

Duration: 4 hours

Tour Code: GOA-005

Boarding your coach at the pier, you will begin with a scenic drive along the Ligurian Riviera coast as you travel to Camogli, a typical fishing village that is considered one of the most beautiful pearls of the the Ligurian coast. Along the way, enjoy views of picturesque ports and villages tucked into inviting harbors.

Camogli is situated on the west side of the Promontory of Portofino and boasts an ancient tradition in the navigation of sailing vessels, which reached its peak in the second half of the 19th century. Today, Camogli retains a vivid memory of its sailing tradition through a maritime museum and the Nautical Institute Cristoforo Colombo. Upon arrival, you will commence a guided walking tour of this quaint village that is famous for its brightly painted houses and its small fishing harbor. As you walk through the historical center, one of the sights you will see is the wonderful Basilica of St. Maria Assunta which houses numerous works by Ligurian artists.

Before re-joining your coach, you will have free time on your own to stroll along the harbor and boardwalk or perhaps visit the colorful shops and cafes while enjoying a delicious ice cream.

Please note: The coach must stop at the top of the village and guests must walk down many steps to reach the town center. The guided walking portion of the tour consists of considerable walking, at times over uneven surfaces. This tour is not available to wheelchair guests or those guests with mobility concerns. Flat, comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sunglasses are recommended.
