Amazing Rostock

The lively harbor city of Rostock was founded nearly 800 years ago and has a rich shipbuilding and fishing history. Walking through the city center, you will observe its wonderful old towers, looming fortifications, gabled houses from the 15th century, lovely churches and abbeys. During your free time, you might shop in the New Market Square or visit the 13th century monastery. Then, it's on to a brewery complex, where you can sample freshly made German beer and a pretzel.
Please note: This tour includes approximately 2 hours of moderate, flat walking - at times over cobblestone surfaces and some steps to negotiate. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. It is suggested to bring local currency; EURO, as not all shops accepts US currency or credit cards.
