Bruges - a Medieval Gem
Duration: 4 hours
Tour Code: ZEE-001
Smaller and more contained than many other Flemish cities, Bruges gives the impression that you have stepped back in time to the 14th century. A short drive from the port brings you to the old city where your guide will walk you through the narrow, twisting cobbled streets, past picturesque views of ancient buildings, tree-lined canals and gabled facades. Stroll through the bustling marketplace; see the Belfry Tower, the Town Hall and the Chapel of the Holy Blood. Discover another aspect of the city during what will undoubtedly be the highlight of your tour, a 30-minute canal boat ride. While sitting back in a small boat, you can enjoy the serene waterways of this romantic historic city. After some free time to explore on your own, re-board your motor coach for the return journey to the ship.
Please note: This tour includes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes of walking - at times on uneven ground, cobblestone surfaces and some steps to negotiate at the canal boats. It is not considered suitable for wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Dress conservatively to enter cathedral.
