Two museums worth a visit are the Museum of Ceramics and the Bornholm Museum. Explore the shops along Lille Torv looking for fine art glassware, Bornholm’s famous ceramics, and famous designer silver and gold jewelry.

Light Activity Regent Choice

Duration: 4 hours

Tour Code: RON-003

Savor the unique tastes of Bornholm in this tour that is geared to please your taste buds while showcasing the lush countryside of Denmark.

Joining your coach at the pier, you will first commence a scenic drive towards the Lille Gadegaard Vineyard, located in an idyllic location close to the town of Aakirkeby. The vineyard was founded in 1995 and initially began with the making of strawberry wine. It wasn't until 2002 however; two years after viticulture was introduced in Denmark, that they began producing their first grapes and quickly became the largest vineyard in Denmark. During your visit, you will surely want to take a moment to enjoy the beautiful scenery while partaking in a wine tasting in the vineyard.

Continuing on, you will next cross the island to Hallegaard Farm, an authentic, working countryside farm that covers 80 acres. This particular farm specializes in sausages and everything is organically hand-made following old family recipes. Take a guided stroll through this charming farm and be treating to a taste of the sausages. A detailed explanation on the elaborate traditional preparation methods will also be given.

Re-board your coach and head to Svaneke, located on the eastern coast of Bornholm. Here is the final stop at the perfectly situated harbor-side Siemsensgaard Hotel. A special cheese tasting has been prepared for you where you will get the chance to taste the famous St. Clemens blue cheese. This delicious cheese has won an abundance of recognitions and medals worldwide. Accompanying your cheese is typical Bornholm rye crackers and a local dram.

After what will no doubt be an unforgettable gourmet experience, your coach stands ready to transfer you back to the pier in Ronne, traveling via Almindingen, one of the largest forested areas in Denmark.

Please note: This tour includes approximately 2 1/2 hours of moderate walking and standing, some of it over cobblestone streets. There are some steps to negotiate at the venues. This tour may not be suitable for wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina.
