Gustavia, St. Barts-port

One of the Caribbean’s true gems, St. Barts is where Riviera chic meets Caribbean cool. Day-trippers come from nearby islands for the duty-free shopping, excellent dining and to lounge on the soft, white sands in a secluded palm-fringed cove. Tour Fort Gustav and Fort Carl, historic reminders of Sweden’s short-lived Caribbean possession. Excursions abound, inviting guests to snorkel, sail over the clear blue waters on a catamaran, or horseback ride through shaded jungle trails.

ATV Adventure in St. Barts

Most Active or Strenuous Regent Choice

Duration: 2 hours

Tour Code: SBH-008

This thoroughly fun adventure will afford you the most complete tour of St. Barts, going to both the windward and leeward sides of the island while driving your own ATV. Donning your helmet, you'll leave the harbor of Gustavia and head toward the northern-leeward region of the island where you'll begin your journey. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to view all aspects of St. Barts, including the industrial area, small hillside villages, the seaside resort town of St. Jean and breathtaking vistas of the mountains and the sea from several superb viewpoints. Your tour will also take you to the hill of Morne Tourterelle which overlooks the salines. While there, your guide will give you a history of these salt ponds and the salt industry, which until the mid 1950s, was the only industry on the island. Your extensive tour of St. Barts will then conclude with a leisurely drive back to Gustavia Harbor.

Please note: The ATV's are all automatic and may carry one driver and one guest. The minimum age requirement for drivers with a valid drivers' license on this tour is 18 years of age, and the minimum for guests is 12 years of age. The maximum weight allowance per each ATV is 330 lbs. While this ride is not difficult, guests must be physically fit. Persons with leg, knee, back or neck injuries will not be permitted to participate. The tour operator reserves the right to deny participation to anyone deemed not fit to operate the ATV. Shoes or sneakers must be worn as no beach type sandals or flip-flops will be allowed. It is recommended that light, comfortable clothing be worn and those wishing to swim at the end of the tour are encouraged to bring a swimsuit and towel. Each ATV is equipped with a small trunk to store your personal effects. Should damage occur to the ATV during the course of the tour and it is determined that the guest is at fault for the damage, the guest will be held liable for the damage to the ATV up to a maximum of 800.00 Euros. Guests will be required to present a valid credit card to the operator for this purpose before being allowed to participate on the tour.
