Katina Athanasiou, Global Vice President of Charters, Meetings &Incentives. Katina is based in our corporate headquarters of Miami, FL. After several years as a corporate meeting and event planner, Katina originally joined Regent Seven Seas Cruises, in 1998. She began her cruise career in the corporate market operating full-ship charters and incentive groups. She later transitioned in to sales where she represented the luxury brand to the incentive and retail market nationwide. To broaden her breadth of knowledge in the cruise industry, Katina left RSSC to begin sourcing all types of cruise programs specifically to the charter and incentive market. Her success in sourcing cruises to third parties and corporate planners led her back to the supplier side where she started managing full-ship charter sales, then found her way back home to oversee all full-ship charters, meeting and corporate incentive business for the three distinct brands of Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises . Katina’s extensive experience in both as a corporate planner and within the cruise charter and group market proves to be beneficial for any planner looking to cruise.
Freddy Muller, Global Director of Charters, Meetings & Incentives. Freddy is based in our corporate headquarters of Miami, FL. and started his cruise career in 1992. He immediately learned the excitement of working with corporate, incentive and charter customers and his professional path led him to work with some of the most top rated premium and luxury cruise lines, as well as a resort in the Caribbean. With over 19 years in the MICE market, Freddy has extensive operations and global sales experience, both of which have made him perfect for leading our sales team. Born in Venezuela, he is fluent in Spanish and is actively involved in growing the global corporate, incentive and full-ship charter business for all three of our family of brands. His experience and respect within this segment has placed him on the Board of Director for SITE Florida, for over seven years.
Lisette Martinez, Director of Sales Operations & Services. Lisette began her career in the cruise industry in 1995 and first joined Norwegian Cruise Line in 1999, responsible for National Accounts across North America. Currently, she leads the team of inside sales specialists and charter service managers as the Director of Sales Operations & Services. Having been in the Charter, Meeting & Incentive department for 8+ years, Lisette’s operational and product knowledge has helped our team flourish with the goal in consistently delivering on service. She is based in our corporate headquarters of Miami, FL.
Stephanie Deaton, Corporate Sales Manager, East. Stephanie started her career in 1998 at Landry & Kling, Meetings at Sea. During her 14 years, she held both operations and sales positions and later managed various top accounts with a focus on the financial and insurance incentive market. To expand her knowledge outside cruising, she left Landry & Kling to represent all-inclusive properties. Her love of the water however led her back to the cruise industry where she successfully served as a Corporate Sales Manager for Royal Caribbean International, managing the Eastern region of North America. Joining the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings family in April 2015, Stephanie brings a wealth of both customer and supplier knowledge and experience. This has proven to be invaluable to her customers. Stephanie currently resides in Davidson, NC with her husband and two rescue dogs, Sam and Molly and manages the eastern territories of North America.
Cindi Occhuizzo, Corporate Sales Manager, Central. Cindi is based in Orlando, FL and joined the team in April 2015. She manages the central territories of North America. Born and raised in the Chicago area and a graduate of Illinois State University, Cindi headed south in the early 90’s to begin her cruise industry sales career at Ocean Cruise Lines, Pearl Cruises and then Orient Lines, to launch the corporate incentive and charter department. Enjoying the corporate and incentive cruising market as a whole, she joined the team at Landry & Kling, sourcing all cruises for corporate incentive programs. Her success in that arena lead her to Disney Cruise Line as Senior Sales Manager of Charter, Corporate and Incentive Group Sales for nearly a decade. With Cindi’s experience and vast cruise knowledge, we are thrilled to have her a part of our team.
Matthew T. Boutwell, Corporate Sales Manager, West. Matthew joined Norwegian Cruise Line in January 2010 in our outbound sales department. For the last two years, Matthew has worked in the Charter, Meeting & Incentive department and in April 2015, was promoted to Corporate Sales Manager, focusing on the western territories of North America. Matthew has a Bachelors in International Relations and Human Rights from the University of Buffalo and Franklin University Switzerland where he started his travel career. During his time in Switzerland he worked for Engen in Luzern, Switzerland as an event planner and translator for their American employees. He currently lives in Miami, Florida and is based in our corporate headquarters.
Cristina Morata, Corporate Sales Manager, International and Resale. Cristina is based in Miami, FL and started her cruise career in 1986. She has worked in the contemporary and luxury cruise markets and has extensive experience in revenue, port operations, onboard operations, and sales. Most recently, she served as Charter Service Manager, servicing and developing charter programs for Norwegian Cruise Line and creating bonding relationships with charter clients. Born in Spain, she is fluent in Spanish. In her role, she is actively involved in growing the corporate, incentive and full-ship charter business for International, as well as resale charter business.
Erica Lewis, Manager, Charter Services & Marketing. Born and raised in South Florida, Erica joins the Charters, Meetings & Incentives Team with a wealth of product knowledge for Regent Seven Seas and Oceania Cruises. Erica joined the Oceania Cruises Marketing team immediately after receiving her BA in Marketing from the University of Miami, and has since held multiple marketing roles within the organization for both Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas. She is greatly respected for her attention to detail and ability to foster relationships, as well as her exceptional dedication to each program, ensuring every client’s needs and expectations are surpassed.
Vanessa Gonzalez, Manager, Charter Services. Vanessa joined Norwegian Cruise Line in 2010 and brings extensive experience in event management. Previously, Vanessa managed a variety of programs ranging from seminars at sea, onboard luncheons, shipboard conferences, tradeshows, roadshows, annual sales meetings, Key Accounts and Symposium meetings, etc. for the trade community. In addition to her experience, she has a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida International University in Hospitality Management. She is passionate about coordinating events and will tap into her knowledge of event planning to organize and manage our full-ship charters.
Rolando Mendoza, Manager, Charter Services. Based in Miami, Florida, Rolando started his career with Norwegian Cruise Line in 1998. During his 9-year tenure, he held various positions within Reservations, Land Programs, Inside Sales and then Trade Programs, where he managed multiple programs ranging from Presidents and Platinum Club Annual Meetings, trade-shows, conventions, and annual sales meetings. Most recently he held positions with International Cruise and Excursions as an Account Manager for Latin America and Manager of Marketing Communications with Raintree Resorts International. With extensive experience in the cruise and hospitality industry, Rolando has developed incredibly strong relationships with a focus on establishing brand loyalty and repeat business. He is passionate about his work, enjoys challenges, and focuses on the qualities each team member brings to the team.
Diana Bello, Sales Specialist, Central. Diana joins the team with a unique background. Based in Miami, FL, she is one of the newest additions to the team and brings with her countless years of service within the cruise industry. She began her career in 1990 and has worked her way through the rankings to achieve the position she holds today. Having worked with some the industry’s leading cruise lines, Diana is well versed in a variety of environments, however her strong love for Charters and Corporate Incentives has led her back into this sector. Diana works closely with Cindi Occhuizzo in the Central region to develop and secure corporate, incentive and full-ship charter business. Born in Cuba and migrated to the United States at the age of 3, Diana is fluent in English, Spanish and some Portuguese.
Jose Luzbet, Sales Specialist, East. Jose is based in Miami, FL and started his cruise career in 1996 at Norwegian Cruise Line. He has worked with various departments during his time but found love with the corporate, incentive and charter customers more than 15 years ago. Jose has extensive sales and operations experience and has a Hospitality & Tourism Degree from UNPHU in the Dominican Republic. Born in New York, he is fluent in Spanish. Jose is actively involved in working with Stephanie Deaton to grow the corporate, incentive and full-ship charter business throughout the Eastern region of North America.
Fabian Obeso, Sales Specialist, International and Resale. Fabian Obeso recently joined our team and brings forth a wealth of knowledge and experience since starting with Oceania Cruises in 2011. Originally supporting the sales efforts for business from Latin America, Australasia, Asia Pacific and South Africa, he grew to support both Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises, specifically for the Australasia and Asia Pacific regions. Fabian’s customer service skills and exceptional ability to help create solutions has enabled him to help expand business while providing support to our International partners. Knowing the International market well, he is a great asset, supporting the sales efforts and assisting in our expansion of full ship charters, corporate incentives and meetings within the global market.
Robert Giraud, Sales Specialist, West. Robert is based in Miami, FL and brings over 20 years of cruise experience to our team. Having previously worked for Cunard Line, Seabourn and Silversea Cruises, Robert has had the opportunity to travel to a vast number of cruise destinations. He has held various positions within International Sales, National Accounts, as well as Corporate, Incentive and Charter Sales. Robert joins us at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings to provide sales support to the West Coast region, working with Matthew Boutwell to help secure future business and manage existing accounts. Born in New York, he relocated to South Florida in 1997 to be closer to the thriving hub of the worldwide cruise industry. Robert is fluent in English and Spanish.
