The price shown is the total cost for the vehicle, driver and English-speaking guide. Kindly note, however, that in certain ports only a driver/guide will be assigned (one person), due to limited availability. Entrance fees are not included in this price, in order to provide you with the most flexibility. In many ports, the number of vehicles available is extremely limited; therefore guests are encouraged to make their reservation as early as possible.

Depart the Seaport Village for the drive through the historic streets of San Diego. Along the way, you will pass by the Embarcadero and San Diego International Airport, which is dedicated to famous aviator Charles Lindbergh. You will also learn about the importance of the military in San Diego and other local icons as you travel along the coast of the scenic Big Bay.
Next, you will take a relaxing ride through the harbor. Your guide will regale you with stories about early sailors as you glide by Navy ships, tugboats and fishing vessels. In addition to experiencing the history and picturesque scenery of America's Finest City, you will get an up-close look at San Diego's sea lions and other local wildlife.
Following your tour, you will be transferred back to the pier.

Enjoy the natural beauty and landmarks around San Diego harbor from the comfort of an amphibious vehicle that is equally at home on the land and in the water.
After departing from the pier, you will soon board a Hydra-Terra, a unique mode of transportation that can effortlessly travel along the highway and through the water. This amphibious vehicle is covered yet open on the sides for unobstructed viewing.
You will first drive around the waterfront in the Hydra-Terra, an area known for landmarks such as the U.S.S. Midway Museum and the Maritime Museum of San Diego, where the Star of India, the world’s oldest active sailing ship is moored. You will also pass through Little Italy, a neighborhood that workers in the tuna industry developed in the 1920s.
The Hydra-Terra will then drive straight into San Diego Bay, instantly becoming a virtually unsinkable boat that offers a ring-side seat to the attractions off shore. You will likely cruise past Navy ships and fishing vessels and enjoy a unique perspective of the hillside mansions on Point Loma, the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Shelter Island.
Along the way, the guide will impart all sorts of fascinating facts about the area and the local wildlife, such as sea lions and California brown pelicans. The “seal” referred to in the name of this excursion isn’t the marine animal but rather an acronym for SEa And Land, a nod to the Hydra-Terra’s ability to travel on both water and land.

Sit back, relax and take in the historic sites of San Diego during this narrated open-air trolley tour.
Depart the pier with your guide aboard an open-air trolley for a narrated journey through historic San Diego. Along they way, you will learn about the city's history while passing by the Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum, Seaport Village, Convention Center and Horton Plaza.
Next, you will proceed through the historic Gaslamp Quarter en route to the Coronado Bay Bridge, which offers spectacular views and photo opportunities of the city. Upon arriving on Coronado Island, you will learn about the unique history of the Hotel Del Coronado. Your guide will inform you about the zoo and Balboa Park as you pass by the many museums in the area. Exiting Balboa Park you will travel through the neighborhood of Little Italy.
Your tour will conclude with a ride to the Old Town's State Historic Park, California's birthplace. En route, your guide will regale you with tales of San Diego's past, which dates back to 1542.
Following your visit to the Old Town, your trolley will return to the ship.

Board your coach at the pier and set-off on a narrated panoramic tour that takes you past the Embarcadero with its harbor views, the Gaslamp Quarter, La Jolla Cove and Village, La Jolla Shores, Seal Rock, Old Town State Park, Mission Bay Park, Heritage Park, Mormon Battalion Memorial and Balboa Park.
The 1,174 acre Balboa Park is San Diego's crown jewel and is the largest urban cultural park in the nation. The Park was established in 1868 in the heart of the city, bordered by downtown to the southwest and fringed by the early communities of Hillcrest and Golden Hill to the north and east. Originally called City Park, the name was eventually changed to commemorate the Spanish Explorer Balboa.
After your coach tour, you'll head to the harbor where you will board a sightseeing vessel that will have you viewing numerous city sights from the water. Your sightseeing cruise also includes the South bay where you will see the old sailing ship "Star of India", the US Navy Surface Fleet, Coronado Bat Bridge, beaches, and busy shipyards. Following your voyage, you'll meet your coach and make the short transfer back to the ship.
Please note: This tour includes limited walking; however participants must be able to negotiate the gangway and steps of the touring boat with limited assistance. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to carefully evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Depart the pier for the drive through downtown San Diego. Along the way, you will pass by the Old World-style buildings of the Gaslamp Quarter, and take in wonderful harbor views and photo opportunities from the Embarcadero. You will also see the many Navy ships in port, including one of the oldest merchant ships in the world, before proceeding to the Old Town's State Historic Park, California's birthplace.
Your drive will continue on past the Exposition Museum buildings at Balboa Park, and La Jolla, the Jewel of the Pacific. This charming seaside village features many upscale shops and eateries. You will then drive directly back to the pier.

Boarding your coach at the pier, it's a 1-hour drive to the Park, which is located on 1,800 acres in the San Pasqual Valley area of San Diego. The Park houses a large array of wild and endangered animals. The free-range enclosures are home to such animals as cheetahs, gorillas, lions, giraffe, elephants, zebras and rhinos. The Park is also noted for its California condor breeding program, the most successful program of its kind in the country.
Upon arrival, you will be on your own to explore the Park at your leisure, seeing the sites that are of the most interest to you. There are several venues located within the Park where you can purchase food and beverages along with gift shops where you can pick up a souvenir of your visit.
After approximately 4-hours spent discovering all this fantastic attraction has to offer, you will meet your escort and coach at the appointed location and time for the return transfer to the pier.
Please note: Walking at the Park is at the guests' discretion; however, in order to view the various animal attractions extensive walking will be required. The tour is available to wheelchair guests who have a collapsible wheelchair, are able to make their own way on and off the coach and have a companion to assist them. This tour is not recommended for those with mobility concerns. Casual clothing; sun cap; sunglasses; sunscreen and flat, comfortable walking shoes are suggested. Those who are not on time for the transfer back to the ship will need to find their own way back to the pier at their own expense.
