Warnemünde is a sea resort and district of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, situated at the Baltic Sea in the Northeast of Germany at the estuary of the river Warnow. Being a center of maritime traffic, the district of Warnemünde comprises numerous navigational aids, the oldest of which is the lighthouse located near the beach promenade. The lighthouse, which is currently still in use, was built in 1897. Warnemunde is also our gateway to nearby Berlin.

The scenic drive takes approximately 3.5 hours during which your escort will distribute water and light snacks. A comfort stop will be made along the way.

Upon reaching Berlin, meet your official guide and commence on an Instagram-worthy sightseeing tour. Stops will be made to briefly explore the iconic landmarks of former West Berlin including the Kaiser-Memorial Church, Kurfürstendamm boulevard, Wittenberg Platz, Victory Column, and Brandenburg Gate.

Following a typical German lunch, your tour continues to former East Berlin, where you will visit landmarks such as the Humboldt Forum, Nikolai Quarter and the Berlin Cathedral. Next, visit the famous Reichstag building where you will have a guided tour of the cupola on the rooftop and a professional photographer will be on hand to assist with getting ‘that perfect picture’. Following this, head to the Käfer Restaurant for a refreshment while enjoying the breathtaking views of the city below.

This bridge, spanning the Havel River and connecting Berlin and Potsdam, gained significance during the Cold War as the site for exchanging spies between East Germany and West Germany, and was featured in the movie "Bridge of Spies."

Your tour then takes you to the city center of Potsdam, the capital city of the federal state of Brandenburg and formerly the seat of the Prussian Kings. Here, you will see landmarks such as St. Nicholas' Church, the Dutch Quarter, the New Palais, and the Russian Quarter, among others.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to the magnificent Sanssouci Palace. Completed in 1747, this palace served as the residence for various Prussian kings and queens, rivaling Versailles in splendor. This stop includes an audio-guided inside visit to the palace and a walking tour through its splendid gardens.

Following this tour, reboard your coach for the 3.5-hour scenic drive back to the port in Warnemünde. Once again snacks and water will be provided and a comfort stop made along the way.
