AN ERA OF ALL-INCLUSIVE LUXURY BEGINS
The newly formed Diamond Cruise launches the world’s first twin-hulled cruise ship, the 350-guest Radisson Diamond, and begins European & Caribbean voyages. The ship’s hotel-like ambience and unique features – including all gratuities, in-suite bar set-up, all soft drinks and wine with dinner – are part of her unique offerings. The Diamond features a pair of elegant dining experiences, one of which features a multi-course tasting menu of unique Italian dishes and a staff of professional entertainers who serenade guests with popular Italian songs.
CREATION OF RADISSON SEVEN SEAS CRUISES
Seven Seas Cruise Line, with its 180-guest Song of Flower, and Diamond Cruise merge to form Radisson Seven Seas Cruises under the ownership of the Carlson Companies.SOUTH PACIFIC BOUND

Seven Seas Mariner® joins the fleet as the world's first all-suite, all-balcony ship, with a capacity for only 700 guests, delivering personalized service with a crew-to-guest ratio of 1 to 1.56.
SEVEN SEAS VOYAGER® LAUNCHES
The 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager joins the fleet, delivering personalized service with a crew-to-guest ratio of 1 to 1.57.
DAWN OF REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES
The fleet is upgraded and all beverages are added to its all-inclusive product offering. Carlson Companies rebrands the line as Regent Seven Seas Cruises® to position it as the luxury seagoing version of its acclaimed Regent Hotels and Resorts brand.
OCEANIA BECOMES SOLE OWNER
Investment firm Apollo Global Management, LLC, along with Oceania Cruises’ original shareholders and management team, announces that it will acquire 100 percent of Regent Seven Seas Cruises from the Carlson Companies.
TRANSACTION COMPLETED
Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises are placed under the ownership of Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc. (PCH), a corporation controlled by Apollo. The lines remain independent brands, and Oceania Cruises founder Frank Del Rio is named chairman and CEO of PCH, the upscale market leader with more than 6,400 berths.
MAJOR REFURBISHMENT ANNOUNCED
Regent Seven Seas Cruises announces a major $40 million refurbishment program for all three of its ships, in addition to the $20 million that has been invested fleetwide over the prior two years. It is announced that a new upscale steakhouse — Prime 7. — will be introduced as part of the refurbishment program.
MAKING WORLD CRUISE HISTORY
For the first time, shore excursions are included in the cruise fare of 35 select voyages. Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager are refitted from top to bottom. Sailing from Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles, respectively, the ships become the industry’s first twin world cruises by a luxury cruise operator.
DEBUT OF CANYON RANCH®
The world-famous Canyon Ranch®, the leading operator of destination health resorts, begins operating the spa, beauty salon, wellness facilities and fitness center onboard the line’s fleet under the Canyon Ranch SpaClub® name. Seven Seas Navigator emerges from a complete refurbishment and makeover.
REDEFINING ALL-INCLUSIVE
FREE Roundtrip Air is included on all voyages, and FREE Unlimited Shore Excursions are expanded to all voyages, becoming a keystone of the company’s all-inclusive product offering. The Paul Gauguin management contract is not renewed, while Seven Seas Voyager departs on the line’s 10th world cruise.
EVEN MORE ALL-INCLUSIVE
The introduction of Concierge-level amenities — including the addition of a FREE 1-Night Pre-Cruise Luxury Hotel Package to all sailings — signals another boundary-pushing step for Regent Seven Seas Cruises in the all-inclusive product offering.
LONGER GRAND VOYAGES
The company announces a series of Grand Voyages for 2012 that feature longer cruises, offering passengers more in-depth exploration and immersion in faraway places.
20TH ANNIVERSARY REWARD
As a yearlong celebration of the line’s 20th anniversary begins, FREE Land Programs are offered on select voyages for Concierge Suites and higher.

Guests in suites at Concierge level and above begin to enjoy an enhanced range of benefits, from priority shore excursion and restaurant reservations to FREE WiFi and phone time. They also enjoy FREE Land Programs on select voyages.
‘CIAO’ SETTE MARI AT LA VERANDA
A new onboard dining venue — Sette Mari at La Veranda — debuts across the fleet. It offers a casual, intimate dining experience with authentic antipasti and Italian specialty items paired with distinctive Italian wines.
SHIP REFURBISHMENT CONTINUES
The company announces that Seven Seas Voyager will receive a multi-million-dollar refurbishment at the ship’s scheduled dry dock in October.
NCLH AGREES TO ACQUIRE PCH
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. agrees to acquire Prestige Cruise Holdings, the market leader in the upscale cruise segment and parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
NEW BUILD ORDER ANNOUNCED BY NORWEGIAN
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings announces it has reached an agreement with Fincantieri of Italy to construct a sister ship to Seven Seas Explorer for its Regent Seven Seas Cruises brand for delivery in 2020.
