  • Easy Bozcaada and Wine Tasting

Take in the immense natural beauty of Bozcaada while driving around the island before visiting an esteemed vineyard for a wine tasting.

After tendering from the ship to Bozcaada, you will head toward the western tip of the island, where you will pause for photos of the Polente Lighthouse. As you approach the lighthouse, you will see several modern windmills that provide power to the island.

The views from the lighthouse will be spectacular, as will be the coastal drive to the 18th-century Agia Paraskevi monastery, the site of an annual pilgrimage. Following free time at the monastery, you will enjoy a scenic drive to Aquarium Beach. Its name comes from the clarity of the water and the abundance of visible fish.

Continuing on, you will next stop at Corvus Vineyard, which Turkish architect Resit Soley founded in 2002. The vineyards blanket the southern hills of the island, an ideal spot for growing grape varieties such as Cavus, as well as Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Following an enlightening tour of the vineyards and a look at the production process, you will settle in for a tasting. The name Corvus is derived from the Latin word for “raven,” and an illustration of the bird adorns each bottle.

The wines will be chosen upon your arrival and may include a deep-ruby blend made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Karasakiz. You will be in good company, as Queen Elizabeth and Pope Benedict XVI have sampled Corvus wines while visiting Turkey.

Please note: This tour includes a minimal walking mainly at the guest's discretion. It is available to guests who utilize a collapsible wheelchair, are able to both make their way on and off the coach and have a companion to assist them. Casual, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable, flat walking shoes are suggested.
