Take advantage of our best deals and start planning your unforgettable journey to the world's most inspiring destinations.

Experience Lima’s rich culinary heritage and vibrant culture in a journey that blends historic charm with creative energy. Explore the elegant Casa De Aliaga, marvel at pre-Columbian treasures in the Larco Museum, and soak in the artistic atmosphere of Barranco. Finish with a scenic boat ride to the Palomino Islands, where sea lions and stunning ocean views await.
Special Notes:
•This program involves walking distances at times over uneven ground. It is not recommended for guests who require use of wheelchair, walker or cane.
•Please advise the RSSC Reservations team when you book this program should you have any special dietary restrictions or requirements. Requests will be sent to our local ground operators for review.
DAY 1
Upon arrival at Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport, you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel.
Check in time is at 3:00pm. Should you have an early arriving flight you may wish to book an extra night to guarantee room availability upon arrival, or you may choose to store luggage at Reception and begin to enjoy the facilities of the hotel.
The InterContinental Lima Miraflores Hotel is a modern five-star property, ideally located next to Larcomar, Lima’s famous oceanfront shopping and dining center. During your stay, enjoy exclusive access to the Club Floors and their dedicated amenities.
Note: A private van will be used to transfer guests from the airport to the hotel. Vans hold a maximum of four pieces of large luggage (total) plus one carry-on piece per person. If you will have more luggage, a larger vehicle may be required for additional cost. Please advise your booking agent at least 14 days before sailing if a larger vehicle is required. Transfers are with driver only.
DAY 2
Following breakfast at the hotel meet your guide to visit to Lima’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where grand plazas and baroque facades tell stories of the Spanish conquest and the viceroyal era.
Walking through its elegant streets, visit churches and landmarks that have shaped the “City of Kings.” Your journey continues at Casa De Aliaga, the oldest residence in the Americas still inhabited by the same family for 17 generations, where courtyards, a private chapel, and salons bring Lima’s past vividly to life.
Afterward, return to the hotel for some rest and time to enjoy lunch at leisure.
In the evening, head to the Museo Larco, housed in an 18th-century mansion and celebrated for its outstanding pre-Columbian collection. The visit is enriched by a private curatorial encounter, offering privileged insights into Peru as a cradle of civilization through masterpieces of its ancient cultures.
Dinner follows on the museum’s renowned rooftop terrace, with views over lush gardens.
DAY 3
Following breakfast at the hotel meet your guide to discover why Lima is celebrated as the gastronomic capital of South America. The experience begins in a traditional market, where the colors and aromas of fruits, herbs, and tubers reveal the extraordinary diversity of Peru’s regions and climates.
You will also visit specialized spaces dedicated to iconic products such as cacao, coffee, and pisco, learning how these ingredients have become symbols of national identity.
A hands-on cooking demonstration follows, guided by a local chef who will introduce us to Peru’s most emblematic dishes and the stories behind them.
In the afternoon, continue to Barranco, Lima’s bohemian district, where contemporary galleries and local design spaces coexist with historic mansions and seaside views. Walking through its vibrant streets, you will explore both the creative pulse of the city and the echoes of its past, making this a day of full immersion into Lima’s flavors, art, and culture.
DAY 4
This morning, embark on a marine excursion to the Palomino Islands, lying just off the port of Callao. These rocky islets are alive with wildlife: colonies of sea lions bask on the sun-warmed rocks or dive playfully into the waves, while cormorants, pelicans, and other seabirds sweep across the skies. The dramatic cliffs and crisp ocean air make this a refreshing escape so close to the city.
Back on shore, continue to Monumental Callao, a historic quarter reborn through art and creativity. Colorful murals, design studios, and contemporary galleries tell the story of a neighborhood transformed by culture.
For those who wish, an optional Afro-Peruvian masterclass invites you to go beyond observation—learning the rhythms of the cajón, the steps of the zapateo, and the stories behind these traditions. Afterward, proceed to the port of Lima where the program comes to an end and you will embark your ship.
Note: Keep passports handy as they will be required to be shown when visiting the Palomino Islands. A Waiver Form will also need to be filled out.
Land Program Details Step by Step:
•Please note: The order of sites visited may vary to avoid congestion.
•Itineraries with the most up to date details (at the time) will be issued when you are emailed your final cruise documents 21 days prior to sailing. You will then receive one last final itinerary from our ground operator with a Welcome Letter upon arrival or at your hotel. •The hotels used for your land program will be the hotels listed in this document unless you have been advised otherwise in advance of the land program start date.
•Guests who do not arrive on Day 1 of a scheduled land program without notice will be considered a no-show and their hotel space released.

Delve into the sacred and mysterious landmarks of the Inca Empire, including the famed Machu Picchu, Lost City of the Incas, and other ancient temples, all important archaeological monuments from the Inca Empire.
Special Notes:
•Please ensure passport details are added to your cruise booking right away so that Machu Picchu entry tickets can be purchased. Please verify the expiry date – passports must be valid for at least six months after travel in order to enter Peru.
•As this is an active program that takes place at high altitudes, we strongly recommend that all guests consult with their physician regarding their ability to participate prior to signing up. This program is not recommended for guests who require the use of a wheelchair or walker due the variety of surfaces required to be navigated. Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour. Scooters are not permitted.
•Please advise the RSSC Reservations team when you book this program should you have any special dietary restrictions or requirements. Requests will be sent to our local ground operators for review.
DAY 1
After flying into Lima International Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your luxury hotel in the San Isidro district in the heart of Lima.
Should your flight arrive early in the morning you may wish to book an extra night to ensure that your room is ready upon your arrival. Hotel check in time is at 3:00pm. Day rooms must be requested directly with the hotel.
This evening, please re-pack your bags accordingly as luggage storage for excess luggage will be available at the hotel from Day 2 – 4. We suggest bringing a carry-on only for the next few days (keeping in mind rules for liquids/gels etc). Any luggage to be left in storage should be properly labelled with your name and suite number on the ship. Don’t forget to take any valuables, medications and documents with you.
Meals are on own at your leisure today.
DAY 2
Depending on flight time, enjoy breakfast before transferring to the domestic airport for a flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, get acquainted with the area on a city tour.
Note: please separate any luggage that will not accompany you to Cusco prior to disembarking. It will be stored in Lima where you will be reunited with it on Day 4 when you return to Lima. Please remember to bring any medications, valuables and documents with you. Please make sure that any luggage to be stored is properly tagged with your name and suite number on the ship. We suggest bringing a carry on to Cusco only – keeping in mind restrictions for liquids, gels etc.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit with the splendid Baroque-style Cusco Cathedral, built in the mid-1500s on the foundations of an Inca palace. Many of the stones used in its construction were looted from the nearby Sacsayhuaman fortress.
Next, visit the sacred site of Koricancha. Here, we will admire the lovely Dominican Convent of Santo Domingo that was built on the foundations of the Temple of the Sun, the most sumptuous temple in the Inca Empire. The curved, mortar-less masonry wall at the west end of the church is one of the greatest existing examples of Inca stonework.
Continuing, the next stop is Sacsayhuaman fortress. Strategically located on a hill overlooking Cusco, the fortress was constructed without mortar like many other Inca structures. Yet the enormous stones (some weighing 200 tons) of the remaining walls fit so tightly that not even a thin blade of grass can slide between them. The craftsmanship is a stunning example of the Inca’s sophisticated construction techniques and architectural skills.
After the visit of the city and sights, check into the Monasterio, a Belmond hotel. Dinner is included at the hotel. Your Deluxe Room is enriched with oxygen to promote better sleep and faster adjustment to the high altitude.
DAY 3
Following breakfast, you will drive to the train station and board the First Class train. Brunch will be served during the journey, as you take in the spectacular Andean scenery en route to Machu Picchu.
Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, there is a short walk to the bus station where you will board a transfer bus to the ruins. Enter the site of Machu Picchu where you will explore the famous “Lost City of the Incas.” This citadel in the clouds was constructed as a royal retreat for the Inca emperor Pachacuti in the 1400s but was abandoned less than 100 years later, its population probably devastated by smallpox. Because the Spanish conquistadors never found this hidden city, Bingham discovered it largely intact.
Architectural highlights include the Temple of the Sun, designed much like the one in Cusco, several other temples, hundreds of terraces, and a mysterious carved stone situated on a raised platform that towers above the plaza. This stone may have been used for astronomical observations, but no one knows for certain. The Inca had no written language, so there is no record of Machu Picchu’s ultimate purpose. In fact, scholars are still striving to uncover clues as to its mysteries.
After visiting Machu Picchu, board the Hiram Bingham Train and begin the journey back to the Rio Sagrado Train Station. Dinner is served on board the train. Upon arrival, return to your hotel in Cusco for the night.
Note: Machu Picchu stands at approximately 2,450 m above sea level, and Cuzco at 3,400 m. At these heights, there’s 20 per cent less oxygen in the air. In the vast majority of cases, symptoms of altitude sickness are very mild (a little sleepiness or a slightly foggy head) and wear off after a day or two, but it can make doing anything energetic feel like a struggle. It is recommended that you speak to your physician prior to signing up to discuss any potential side effects based on your medical history. Due to the amount of walking and over uneven terrain and/or steps, this program is not recommended for guests with limited mobility. Should you require use of any mobility aids, you may be required to hire a separate guide in order to assist along the way. Vehicles are not permitted inside the site.
DAY 4
After breakfast you will be transferred to the Cusco airport for a flight to Lima.
Upon arrival, the group is met and transferred to the port of Lima where you will embark the ship.
Guests will be reunited with any stored luggage once at the port.

Daily temperatures average 18 °C (64 °F)
What to Bring:
•Comfortable, casual clothing in natural, "breathable" fabrics. DAY 1
After flying into Lima International Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel in the Miraflores district, in the heart of Lima. The day is at leisure and meals are on your own.
Hotel check in time is at 3:00pm. Should your flight arrive early in the morning you may wish to book an extra night to ensure that your room is ready upon your arrival. Day rooms can only be requested directly with the hotel.
DAY 2
After breakfast and check out, proceed to Lima’s main square, where Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro founded the “City of Kings” in 1535. The Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace and the Lima Cathedral all surround the square. You will visit the cathedral where Pizarro is buried.
Next, you will see the Santo Domingo Convent, the oldest church and convent in Lima. The foundation of Santo Domingo was conceived by Friar Tomas de San Martin, who later served as the Preceptor Prior of the Dominican Order.
Construction began in 1540, and the convent was later renovated to its present neo-classical style in the 18th century. It is a city within a city of sorts, comprised of a succession of cloisters and yards surrounded by service areas and communal rooms. Spanish Saint San Juan Masias is buried in the convent.
Visit a modern home containing the treasures of the Luna Elias-Polo family, who will greet you and show off their extensive collection of Nativity scenes from Peru and all over the world. This is followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue to Museo Amano which houses a valuable collection of textiles from pre-Hispanic civilizations and then travel to the quaint Barranco district where one stately mansion after another comes into view. This area is known for its rich cultural history and artistic atmosphere.
Nearby visit the unique Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs) where lovers gather for love promises. This iconic wooden pedestrian bridge was built in 1877 out of the necessity to connect both sides of the ravine. Its architecture is simple, yet over time it has become one of the most romantic spots in the city of Lima and an inspiration for numerous legends, songs, and poems.
As this day of discovery comes to an end, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will enjoy a picturesque drive to the outskirts of Lima to explore the ruins of Pachacamac. This large excavated pre-Columbian complex of buildings includes an extraordinary pyramid and temples and a highly sophisticated irrigation and reservoir system. Pachacamac may have been the site of an oracle, as pilgrims visited for centuries.
For a more contemporary look at life in the country, you will visit a traditional hacienda where Peruvian Paso horses are bred. Known for its unique high stepping and comfortable gait, the Peruvian Paso horse has become a symbol for the coastal region of Peru. The horses will display their skills as you learn about their origins and uses over lunch.
Upon returning to the hotel, you will enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Dinner is included at the hotel.
DAY 4
After breakfast, settle any incidentals and check out. Meet your guide and transfer to Callao, Peru’s first port. Visit Monumental Callao, which was once one of the spiciest neighborhoods and is now one of the most important landmarks of art and social transformation in Peru. During some free time, visit a gallery or exhibition or perhaps do some last-minute souvenir shopping.
Following your stop here, transfer to the port of Callao where you will embark the ship.

Ecuador’s Galápagos Islands are one of the world’s most remarkable destinations: an open-air wildlife museum that stirs the explorer within everyone. The archipelago, located about 600 miles west of mainland Ecuador, is home to an astonishing variety of endemic species — enough to inspire a theory that would change the world — and proves an irresistible destination for adventurers and nature-lovers to this day. On this epic adventure spend two and a half days exploring the Galapagos and all that it has to offer with the addition of an overnight in Lima and highlights tours in both Guayaquil and Lima.
Special Notes:
•Due to the nature of the day trips on this program, it is not suitable for guests who have walking difficulty or utilize a wheelchair. Guests must be able to get in and out of small dinghy boats with little to no assistance.
•Also, any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.
•If you have any food intolerances or special dietary needs, please inform us prior to your departure for review by our local vendors. It is important that your land program extension reflects these details to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
•This program begins in Guayaquil, Ecuador therefore your flight must be booked into the José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport in Guayaquil. Guests will board the ship in Lima, Peru and the international flight to Peru is included in this program.
DAY 1 – March 5, 2027
On arrival at the Guayaquil International Airport, proceed through Immigration formalities, identify, and collect your luggage and clear Customs. After Customs clearance you will meet our local representative and transfer to your hotel which is located near the airport.
Check in time is at 3:00pm. Although every effort will be made to have your room available before this time, this cannot be guaranteed. Should you have an early arriving flight you may wish to book an extra night so that your room is ready upon your arrival.
Meals are on your own today.
DAY 2 – March 6, 2027
After breakfast, meet your guide and drive to the airport for a flight to the Galapagos.
Upon arrival at Baltra Airport, a Galapagos Naturalist Guide will welcome the group and help with luggage and guidance towards a public bus that will drive towards the Itabaca Channel. Next board a public ferry for a 5-minute crossing of the azure waters of the channel towards Santa Cruz. On Santa Cruz, board a private vehicle just for our group, to transfer to Puerto Ayora on the other side of the island. Make a short stop to see the Twin Craters
Driving through the rural areas of the island, you will experience the agriculture of the archipelago as well as the diversity of its flora. Surrounded by wild landscapes and different species, keep a lookout for the finches that are famous for being the basis of Darwin´s theory of evolution.
Lunch will be served at a local venue in the highlands.
During your visit to the Santa Cruz Highlands, watch the famous Galapagos land tortoises in their natural environment and learn how the private ranches aid to protect these special animals. You can hear their sounds while they are trying to eat the leaves of the trees or crashing through the undergrowth. Tortoises of all different ages and sizes gather here: small young ones with shining carapaces, and older ones which are a little bit more laggard and cracks in their shells showing evidence of a long life.
While seeking the giant tortoises, your local guide will share the story of the origin the lava tunnels located at this area. Formed by the lava floods of the volcanoes, they range from the highlands down to the sea level.
Continue to your hotel for check-in. Dinner is served at the hotel after an exciting and memorable day.
NOTE: Please pack accordingly for the flight from Guayaquil to the Galapagos. Guests can only check in free of charge one suitcase with a maximum weight of 50 lbs (23 kg). Each guest is also permitted free of charge one carry-on bag with a maximum of 15 lbs (7 kg). As an included service, any excess luggage will be stored in Guayaquil.
Guests checking in more than one suitcase or an overweight bag on the flight will need to pay excess or overweight luggage fees at the airport upon check in. The average cost is approximately $120 USD per extra suitcase and an additional $120 USD for an overweight bag. Fees are imposed by the airline and are subject to change.
DAY 3 – March 7, 2027
Today, take a full day boat tour to one of the nearby Islands. The island chosen for the day is subject to confirmation by Galapagos National Park Management much closer to the program operation date. This government institution assigns the island tours based on technical ecological analysis and is dependent on the number of groups visiting the area at the same time. Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator can control which programs are chosen for each day.
Start times vary from 6:00am – 8:30am depending on the program.
Island Tours:
BARTOLOME:
Experience a day in paradise with beautiful white beaches, outer space ambient, clear water, and observe as many native animals start their day.
On the two-hour boat trip breakfast is served while watching the sunrise at sea. There may be an opportunity to observe dolphins and other marine residents very close to the boat in the early hours.
Landing in Bartolome, approximately 300 steps lead up through the moon-like landscape to the highest point of the island. The reward is an amazing view over the islands Santiago, North Seymour, Baltra, Santa Cruz and Rábida. Also in view is Chinese Hat Island, as well as the well-known Pinnacle Rock, which is all that remains of an ancient volcano. The rock is home to a large quantity of sea birds and is the most photographed landscape in the Galapagos Islands.
After changing clothes for a beach visit, board the dinghy-ride for a short ride to Sullivan Bay for snorkeling. Those who don't wish to snorkel may stay on the dinghy to search among the rocks for the diminutive Galapagos Penguin. Back at the beach enjoy some time to relax or swim. The shallow sea invites you to go swimming and snorkeling while we search for Galapagos penguins, sharks, starfish, rays, sea turtles and other exotic and colorful fish. Enjoy the diversity of native residents such as marine iguanas, sea lions, pelicans, and more. After this amazing adventure, lunch is served on the return journey.
SEYMOUR AND BACHAS:
This tour offers the golden chance to get to know Seymour Island and Bachas beach. During the 1-hour boat navigation to Seymour Island, observe the slow awakening of the archipelago as the day begins.
Disembark your boat and board a dinghy for a ride along the rocky coast near a small forest consisting of gray and silver Palo Santo (Holy Stick) trees, which are without leaves for most of the year. Seymour is famous for its large colonies of birds. The unique male frigate birds with their inflated red pouches attract females during breeding season, and the famous Galapagos blue-footed boobies can be observed as well. Other highlights of this excursion are a beach with small cliffs, seagulls, many sea lions, marine iguanas and pelicans, mostly an arm's length away.
A freshly cooked lunch consists of two courses and is served on the boat. After lunch, your boat navigates to Bachas beach along the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island. Take a short hike to the flamingo pond just behind the beach and afterwards refresh with swimming and snorkeling at this isolated paradise beach with white sand and turquoise waters. Sea lions, rays, sea turtles, and tropical fish may join in our underwater experience!
PLAZAS AND PUNTA CARRION:
Travel by boat to South Plaza Island. The island welcomes travelers with a bright colorful red and green carpet of sesuvio, an endemic plant, spread over the Island, as well as the loud, friendly barking of several sea lion families which have settled down on the shore of the channel between North and South Plaza Islands where your boat anchors. The turquoise water of the ocean juxtaposes perfectly with the white shining beaches and the black lava rocks of the coast.
The hike is easy and goes alongside relaxing sea lions and land iguanas which can be found on most parts of the island. The trail leads to the highest cliff where swallow-tailed gulls cross the air screaming. Here lie the sea lions which could not persist against their competitors climbing up the almost vertical wall. At the same time, tropical birds, blue-footed boobies, and other marine frigate birds glide gently in the wind. We suggest guests bring along binoculars in order to get an extraordinarily close view of these animals, as well as the other marine life. The view from the highest point over the ocean and the powerful waves breaking at the cliffs is an experience that visitors will not forget.
Afterwards, the trip continues to Punta Carrion, where lunch is served on board the boat. This is a great spot to snorkel and swim among rays, sharks, and hundreds of colorful tropic fish.
SANTA FE:
Formed by uplifting, rather than by a volcano, Santa Fe is known for having one of the most beautiful coves in all the Galapagos. Some of the island’s endemic species include the Galapagos hawk, Galapagos snake, land iguanas, various types of finches, and the Galapagos mockingbird. The visit includes a hike on a trail past salt bushes where Galapagos hawks as well as the Santa Fe land iguanas tend to roam. Playful sea lions will usually accompany swimmers and snorkelers during beach time.
FLOREANA:
Navigate to the small town of Puerto Velasco Ibarra located on the Floreana Island (approximately 2.5 hours from Santa Cruz). Upon arrival, take local transportation known as “Chiva” to start a 30-minute ride up to the highlands of Floreana Island. The chiva will ascend a dirt road surrounded by typical dry vegetation which transforms into a lush, green vegetation as you gain elevation. In this area, you will also find some farms with banana, coffee, cacao, and other tropical plantations. The short drive will end at the “pampada” from where you will start a beautiful walk to observe the typical flora of the area. Along the way you will also encounter some giant Galapagos tortoises. Continue to the place known as “Asilo de la Paz” (Peace Asylum), a historical place where the German Wittmer family settled down when they arrived to Floreana in 1932. Observe the caves used as their home before moving to the place which is now known as Puerto Velasco Ibarra. Back in town, enjoy lunch prepared in a small, local restaurant.
Next, walk to “La Loberia”, a beautiful bay. The main attraction is the presence of a small colony of sea lions. There is also a great chance to observe marine iguanas resting on the rocks, and in the waters of the bay we may be able to see marine turtles.
ISABELA:
This morning, sail to the town of Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island (approximately 3 hours from Santa Cruz). Upon arrival, visit the Isabela Tortoise Breading and Interpretation Center where your guide will explain the different activities developed by the National Park to protect the fragile environment. Here, you will also find Giant Galapagos Tortoises of different species and sizes.
Afterwards, walk to the place known as “Humedales” (Wetlands). The walk follows a well-maintained path from which you can observe this beautiful place composed of lagoons and rocks and surrounded by four species of mangroves and typical trees of the area. In the lagoons you can observe flamingos and migratory birds.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit "Las Tintoreras”, a scenic area where you will find colonies of marine iguanas, sea lions, and many sharks known as Tintoreras (White-tipped sharks) resting in the channels formed by lava flows. Later, you can do some snorkeling, perhaps in the company of sea lions, penguins, and marine turtles.
Regardless of the program selected for the day, your trip ends with a late afternoon return to your hotel.
Dinner will be at the hotel or at a nearby local restaurant.
Please Note:
Boat tours may be shared with independent guests.
Boat sailing during the navigable day tour is usually rough and due to sea conditions, may take longer than 2 hours. The islands to be visited are determined at the sole discretion of the Galapagos National Park Management.
DAY 4 – March 8, 2027
This day will be similar to Day 3 but with a different island visited. As with Day 3, the island visited will be chosen by the Galapagos National Park Management.
DAY 5 – March 9, 2027
After breakfast, transfer to the airport.
Upon arrival at Guayaquil Airport, you will be met and transferred to a local restaurant for lunch, followed by a panoramic city tour of Guayaquil, Ecuador’s main port and largest city. The city has a blend of cultural traditions and modern architectural developments.
The panoramic tour begins on 9 de Octubre Avenue, known for its notable architecture, and proceeds to Centennial Park, a public green space dedicated to commemorating the heroes of Guayaquil’s Independence. Bolivar Park, also referred to as the “park of the iguanas,” is next, where iguanas are commonly seen in the area.
The tour continues to the Malecon 2000, which follows the Guayas River, passing locations such as Civic Plaza, the Moorish Tower, City Hall, and the Rotonda Monument. Heading north, the route passes Santa Ana Hill, the site of Las Peñas, Guayaquil’s oldest neighborhood, where homes have been restored with various colours and design features.
After your tour, return to Guayaquil international airport to check-in for your international flight to Lima. Guests will be reunited with any luggage that was stored. Dinner is on own at the airport. On arrival in Lima, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in.
NOTE: For the international flight between Guayaquil and Lima, guests can normally check in free of charge 1 suitcase with a maximum weight 50 lbs (23 kg). Each guest is also permitted free of charge one carry-on bag with a maximum of 15 lbs (7 kg).
For this reason, a second piece of checked luggage per person (per maximum weight listed above) is included in the cost of this program. Should guests need to check in more than 2 pieces or have any overweight luggage on the flight, they will need to pay the airline fees at the airport upon check in. The average cost is approximately $120 USD per extra suitcase and an additional $120 USD for an overweight bag. Fees are imposed by the airline and are subject to change.
DAY 6 – March 10, 2027
After breakfast, check out meet your guide for a quick tour of Lima. The historical center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a rich blend of history, culture, and architecture that makes it a must-visit destination.
Get a glimpse of the colonial era during a photo stop at the Plaza Mayor. Located in the heart of Lima's historic center, this is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its hand-crafted wooden balconies. Next see the impressive Cathedral of Lima, whose exterior is dominated by two lovely towers and three large gateways. DAY 1 – March 11, 2027
Upon disembarkation in Callao, you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to Lima Airport for a flight to Quito. Upon arrival at the airport, our representatives will assist you with the check-in process.
The flight is not accompanied.
Located at the base of Volcan Pichincha, Quito is known for its mild climate, rich history, and well-preserved colonial architecture. Once home to the Quitu tribe, later part of the Inca Empire, and re-founded by the Spanish in 1534, Quito was also key in independence movements. At 9,300 feet, it is the world’s second-highest capital and became the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978.
Arriving in Quito, you’ll go through immigration, collect your luggage, and meet our local representative, who will transfer you to Quito.
Here you will visit El Panecillo, the iconic hill rising at the southern end of the old town. See the statue of Quito’s “Winged Virgin”, visible from almost anywhere in the city, and enjoy the stunning view of colonial Quito.
Pass by the San Francisco Church, founded in the 16th century, and visit the Church of La Compañía, admiring its magnificent structure and the seven tons of gold covering its gleaming walls. Explore on foot the Plaza de la Independencia, flanked by the Presidential Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, and Quito Cathedral. Take in the beautiful centuries-old buildings. With picturesque cobblestone streets, flower-adorned balconies, and a lifestyle that has barely changed over the centuries, the historic center is truly the soul of Quito.
An early dinner will be served at local restaurant and then you will transfer to your hotel for check in.
DAY 2 - March 12, 2027
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then meet your guide. This morning, you will drive north from Quito through scenic mountain landscapes to Quitsato, which comes from the Tsafiqui language of the Tsáchila people: quitsa means “middle” and to means “world,” referring to the Middle of the World.
Quitsato is a solar museum and cultural site in Ecuador, located exactly on the Equator near Cayambe. It is famous for its giant solar clock, which uses the Sun’s shadow to indicate time, solstices, and equinoxes. The site offers an interactive experience teaching astronomy, geography, and ancient indigenous knowledge.
Next, you will visit Hacienda La Compañia in the Cayambe area, a former Jesuit estate renowned for its stunning rose plantations. Learn about the cultivation, harvesting, and shipping of Ecuadorian roses, and explore the estate’s historic 1919 home and 16th-century chapel. The visit concludes with a delicious homemade lunch at the hacienda.
Afterwards you will arrive at Hacienda Cusin, over 400 years old, a historic Andean estate showcasing traditional architecture and colonial heritage. You will be welcomed by the friendly staff who will assist with check-in, and you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure in the Hacienda and its beautiful gardens. Dinner will be served at the Hacienda.
DAY 3 - March 13, 2027
After breakfast, your day begins with a visit to Otavalo, a small town of around 130,000 people, famous for its warm, welcoming community and its world-renowned market, which has been active since pre-Incan times. The Otavaleños are among the most prosperous indigenous groups in Ecuador, largely thanks to their highly sought-after textiles, carpets, colorful ponchos, traditional jewelry, and intricate needlework.
Explore the Plaza del Poncho, the heart of the textile market, bursting with color and local craftsmanship. Observe the traditional dress worn by market vendors, which reflects the evolution of Andean garments while preserving cultural identity. Also, visit the local produce market, where you can discover a variety of Ecuador’s unique fruits and vegetables.
Next, head to the charming village of Peguche, home to a family workshop that produces traditional Andean musical instruments. Learn how to craft a pan-flute and enjoy beautiful highland music performed by the family. Guests can even try playing the instruments themselves, a fun challenge!
Finally, visit the Arte Nayia Gallery, run by a local family specializing in handcrafted dreamcatchers. Here, guests can learn about the tradition behind these creations and even make their own unique piece to take home, embedding their personal wishes and hopes for the future while spending time with the family.
After lunch at local restaurant transfer to Cuicocha, a crater lake located in the Ecuadorian Andes, within the Cotacachi-Cayapas Biosphere Reserve. It was formed by an eruption of the Cotacachi volcano and features emerald-colored waters surrounded by steep cliffs. In the center of the lake are small volcanic islands. It is an ideal spot for hiking, boat rides, and birdwatching. A short walk along the trail will allow you to enjoy the scenery and take photos.
After this visit, return to Hacienda Cusin where dinner will be served at the Hacienda’s restaurant. Afterward, enjoy a torchlight tour, a nighttime walk around the estate, concluding with a bonfire and a hot drink.
DAY 4 – March 14, 2027
Enjoy breakfast before departing for Quito airport for a flight to Guayaquil. The flight is not accompanied.
Upon arrival in Guayaquil, collect your luggage and meet our local representatives in the arrivals hall. Then, head to a local restaurant for lunch.
Experience a scenic tour of Guayaquil, visiting top highlights like Malecon 2000, Parque Seminario with its famous iguanas (a perfect spot for photos), and the charming historic Las Peñas neighbourhood. Enjoy stunning views of the Guayas River and soak in the city’s vibrant culture, history, and architecture.
In time, head to the Port of Guayaquil where you will re-board the ship.

In Quito in March, weather is mild and wet with cool days and chilly nights. Daytime highs are usually around 15–20 °C (59–68 °F), while nights cool to about 8–9 °C (46–48 °F). Rain is common throughout the month, with many rainy days and high humidity. Sunshine is limited, and skies are often cloudy.
In March, Otavalo enjoys cool and mild weather, often with some rain, typical of the Andes’ wet season. Daily temperatures usually range from 9–11°C (48–52°F) in the mornings and evenings to 19–20°C (66–68°F) during the day, with clouds often covering the sky.
What to Bring:
Dress comfortably and warmly – long and short-sleeved shirts, sweater, jacket or windbreaker, scarf, hat, insect repellent, sun protection, binoculars, camera, small backpack, water bottle, charger
Local Currency:
Ecuador’s local currency is US Dollars. It's helpful to bring small denominations, as change can sometimes be an issue, especially for larger bills like $50 or $100. ATMs are widely available in cities and tourist areas.
Credit cards are accepted in many places, but smaller establishments or rural areas may require cash.
Electricity
Ecuador uses 110 volts, 60 cycle electricity, same as the US. Plugs are typically the 2-pronged flat type so US travelers will not typically need a converter or adapter. In cases where needed, hotels can usually provide adapters.

DAY 1 - March 11, 2027
After breakfast, meet your guide and head to the “Mitad del Mundo”, a famous site built on the Equator, where you can stand in both hemispheres at the same time. Here, we will visit the Intiñan Ethnographic Museum, which showcases the history, customs, and way of life of Ecuador’s pre-Columbian indigenous peoples. The museum also offers interactive demonstrations about the region’s geography, magnetism, and natural sciences.
Continue to Mashpi Lodge, located on the western slope of the Andes. The journey offers a chance to discover the stunning Andean landscape, as you descend from 2,800 meters (9,186 ft) to 1,000 meters (3,281 ft) above sea level. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch.
Mashpi Lodge is truly a destination where nature meets luxury, a boutique hotel designed with plenty of windows to give guests a front-row seat to one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet.
Located on a scenic plateau in the heart of a biosphere reserve, Mashpi Lodge features breathtaking views of the surrounding rainforest and mountains and the unique ecosystems within them. Every detail, from its architectural grandeur to its sophisticated interiors, allows guests to be deeply immersed in the splendor of nature through its expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows.
Far more than just a five-star hotel in an exquisite location; the lodge also provides access to the Mashpi Reserve and a research station that is at the forefront of rainforest protection and education.
You will have the opportunity to join a variety of unforgettable tours including bird watching. More than 400 avian species have been catalogued in the reserve, 35 of which are not found anywhere else on Earth. You can also visit the hummingbird garden, the observation tower, life center, butterfly farm and interactive laboratory. Other options include a day or evening hike and a Sky Bike tour above the forest canopy.
After settling comfortably into your room, you will be welcomed by one of the lodge’s naturalists for an introductory talk on the cloud forest, its conservation, planned activities, and practical tips on what to wear and bring for excursions. This informative 30-minute presentation takes place in the library.
In the afternoon, gather in the lobby for an excursion to the Napa Trail. This scenic trail passes through regenerating forest as well as pristine areas, making it ideal for learning about ecological succession and the importance of conservation in the Chocó region. Toward the end of the trail, visitors encounter a distinctive iron palm forest (Iriartea deltoidea). This moderate two-hour hike is also excellent for birdwatching.
In the evening, guests may attend an educational lecture led by a resident naturalist or biologist. Topics include the secret wildlife of Mashpi, the Choco as a global biodiversity hotspot, and ongoing scientific research projects, offering a deeper understanding of this unique ecosystem.
Dinner will be served at the lodge.
DAY 3 – March 13, 2027
After breakfast at the lodge, guests will participate in activities of their choosing.
The below represents a sample of the activities that you may wish to participate in.
Every experience at Mashpi is tailored to your interests and ability levels. When you arrive at the lodge, you will see a chart with all the available activities. Adjustments can be made at any time along the way, ensuring that you have the experience of a lifetime.
Early Bird Watching - Optional - Mashpi Lodge offers a haven to bird enthusiasts seeking to view the species that inhabit the beautiful Choco Bioregion, a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Every morning starting at 6:00am, guests can go to the lodge rooftop terrace where freshly baked snacks and hot coffee, tea and chocolate are set out, along with spotting scopes and binoculars. As the day breaks, the air fills with the sounds of hundreds of birds, many of which are perched in the trees and vegetation in the immediate surroundings of the lodge, allowing guests to often see incredibly rare species without leaving the lodge. Duration is approximately 1 hour.
Morning – Sky Bike & Observation Tower - Departure on foot to the Sky Bike and Observation Tower (15-minute walk). Experience the forest canopy on the Sky Bike, followed by a visit to the 30-meter observation tower offering panoramic views of the cloud forest. Optional return hikes via the Oxibelis Trail or the more challenging Limones Trail to San Vicente Waterfall. Total duration: 2–4 hours. Refreshments and lunch at the lodge upon return.
Afternoon – Howler Monkeys Trail & Life Center - Guided walk along the Howler Monkeys Trail through primary forest to the Life Center. Learn about native flora, wildlife, and conservation efforts, and observe birds and small mammals from the viewing deck. Visit the butterfly exhibits and surrounding gardens.
Evening – Night hike - The forest is transformed completely during the night, the sounds and smells are intensified, and other senses are awakened. On this “night safari”, unlike others, guests find the beauty in the small details, the croaking of frogs or the hum of insects. And if you turn off your flashlight you can observe the sparkling of fireflies in the woods or listening to the flutter of bats and if you look carefully to the ground the faint glow of bioluminescent fungi (foxfire or fairy fire) surrounding you. When you turn on the lights again you can see the reflection of hundreds of tiny eyes of insects all around. As we continue our way you can hear the call of owls and night birds or the rustling of the branches above you when the kinkajous (Potos flavus), an arboreal mammal relative to the raccoons, open their road through the treetops, searching for ripe fruits. No doubt, this is an overwhelming experience. The excursion begins at 19:00 and takes about 45 min to an hour, and you will be back on time to enjoy a delicious dinner.
DAY 4 - March 14, 2027
After breakfast at lodge, enjoy one last morning activity. At the scheduled time, depart and drive back to Quito Airport for a flight to Guayaquil.
Upon arrival in Guayaquil, collect your luggage and meet our local representatives in the arrivals hall. Then, proceed to a local restaurant for lunch.
After lunch enjoy a scenic tour of Guayaquil, visiting top highlights like Malecon 2000, Parque Seminario with its famous iguanas (a perfect spot for photos), and the charming historic Las Peñas neighbourhood. Enjoy stunning views of the Guayas River and soak in the city’s vibrant culture, history, and architecture.
In time, proceed to the Port of Guayaquil where you will re-join the ship.

Cloud Forest Weather - March brings warm, lush, and vibrant conditions to Ecuador’s cloud forest. Temperatures range between 20–24 °C (68–75 °F), with refreshing cooler evenings. Expect occasional rain and mist, typical of the cloud forest, which enhances the greenery and creates beautiful, atmospheric landscapes. This is a great time to enjoy nature, waterfalls, and rich wildlife, especially birdwatching.
What to Bring: Sunhat, sun block, sunglasses, swimwear, walking shoes/sneakers, socks: we recommend joggers’ socks that don’t slip easily inside rubber boots (2 pairs per day are ideal), light-weight, earth- or dark-colored, long-sleeved T-shirts and shirts, earth- or dark-colored, light-weight trousers, light fleece/sweater, sandals/tevas, goretex jacket – guests will also be supplied with waterproof ponchos, insect repellent (natural, no DEET), good binoculars (Guides will have pairs to share), small backpack for trails, 6 Ziploc bags of different sizes for keeping things dry, headlamp (or flashlight)
Please Note:
•Due to the Lodge’s wastewater management system, guests are requested to only use biodegradable soaps and shampoos (the Lodge supplies these as part of its amenities), and only flush toilet paper in lavatories.
•Guests will be supplied with rubber boots. Please ensure you send us your size. The lodge also supplies walking poles, but you may want to bring your own.
In case they are needed, hotels can usually provide adapters.

Known as The White City, Arequipa enchants visitors with its elegant colonial architecture framed by dramatic volcanic scenery. Just a few hours away lies the breathtaking Colca Canyon — one of the deepest in the world — where ancient terraces, traditional villages, and majestic Andean condors create an unforgettable experience.
Special Notes:
•Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.
•As this is an active program that takes place at high altitudes, we strongly recommend that all guests consult with their physician regarding their ability to participate prior to signing up.

DAY 1 - Thursday, March 11, 2027
After disembarking in Callao, meet your guide and transfer to the airport for a scheduled flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival in Arequipa, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, transfer to the impressive Carmen Alto viewpoint, where you will enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Continue to the colonial district of Yanahuara, a charming neighborhood of narrow cobblestone streets and traditional white houses built of volcanic stone. From here, admire magnificent views of the three volcanoes that dominate the skyline: Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu.
Visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, the most important and impressive religious monument in Peru. Founded in 1579, this vast walled citadel gradually expanded to include cloisters, plazas, narrow streets, tiled roofs, and cobblestone paths. For centuries, it functioned as a secluded convent for nuns from the city’s most distinguished families.
Next, enjoy a walking tour of Arequipa’s UNESCO-listed Historic Centre, including the Plaza de Armas. Known as the “White City,” Arequipa owes its nickname to the extensive use of sillar, a white volcanic stone used in the construction of its churches, mansions, and civic buildings. The historic center reflects a remarkable fusion of European and indigenous architectural techniques, brought to life by colonial masters as well as Criollo and Indigenous artisans.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 - Friday, March 12, 2027
After breakfast, visit Añashuayco, going back to the past and crossing this narrow ravine whose opening has been eroded for thousands of years by water and wind. During the tour you can rest in the shade on ashlar seats and appreciate the beautiful desert landscape that nature gives us.
After this incredible visit, continue to the district of Chivay, on the outside of the city of Arequipa. Enjoy the beautiful landscape during the approximately 4-hour drive. A box lunch will be provided.
Upon arrival in Chivay, visit the local market and its typical Andean Plaza de Armas and then transfer to your hotel near the Colca Canyon for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 - Saturday, March 13, 2027
After an early breakfast, depart very early in the morning towards the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where you will observe the impressive depths of the Colca Canyon, considered deeper than the Grand Canyon in Colorado. This is one of the best places to witness the majestic flight of Andean condors in their natural habitat.
Continue your journey with visits to the traditional villages of Maca and Yanque, home to beautiful colonial-era churches. Along the way, stop at the scenic viewpoints of Wayra Punku and Antahuilque, offering striking panoramic views of the canyon and surrounding landscapes.
Enjoy lunch before driving to Arequipa where you will have dinner at your hotel in Arequipa before retiring for the night.
DAY 4 - Sunday, March 14, 2027
Following breakfast at the hotel, settle any incidentals and check out. Meet your guide and transfer to Arequipa Airport for a flight to Guayaquil, Ecuador connecting through Lima.
Upon arrival in Guayaquil, you will be met and transferred to the port where you will re-board the ship.

What to bring:
•Bring comfortable, casual clothing in natural, “breathable” fabrics. Temperatures will change as altitudes and the time changes, so it’s best to bring shorts, as well as long trousers and layered clothing. Religious sites require conservative dress. Both males and females should cover their arms, legs and shoulders.
•Local standards dictate a neat, clean outfit for dining in restaurants and touring urban areas. For men: long trousers and a shirt with a collar. For ladies: trousers or a knee-length (or longer) skirt with a modest top. Formal clothing is not necessary.
•A sweater or lightweight jacket for the cooler evening temperatures.
•A lightweight (preferably non-plastic) raincoat or poncho, and an umbrella.
•Comfortable walking shoes with low or no heels.
•Sunglasses with a strap, sun block, a sunhat, and insect repellent.
Local Currency:
Peru’s currency is the Nuevo Sol (S/.).
Electricity
The current is 220 volts AC. In most hotel bathrooms, there is an electrical outlet with 110 volts for electric shavers, but this should not be used for travel irons or hair dryers. Most hotel rooms are equipped with hairdryers. We recommend bringing your own travel adapter for electronic devices if they do not conform to the above voltage.
Luggage information
For international and domestic flights on this program, it is permitted to check one piece of 23Kg (50 pounds) per person and 1 carry-on of 8Kg (17.5 pounds) per person.
Guests having excess or overweight luggage will be charged upon check in at the airport. Fees: $90 approx. for overweight luggage (up to 23kg) / $90 for additional bags (cost per piece of luggage up to 23kg)
Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)
1.Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) - Guests must obtain a Doctor’s Certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry a POC. Further paperwork may be required by the airline.
2.CPAP Machine NOT being used in flight – please advise RSSC at least 95 days before your cruise if you will bring a CPAP on the internal flight(s) used in this land program. Please supply the make, model and battery type.
3.CPAP Machine to be used during flight – same as above + a doctor’s note is required mentioning the need to use the machine during flight.
*Guests are required to bring with them any details from the manufacturer regarding the CPAP specifications. While most modern CPAP machines are FAA-approved for in-flight use, having a copy of your manufacturer’s FAA-approval status will help to quickly clear any confusion that may arise.
* Failure to provide the above details in a timely manner may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator will be responsible for.
*Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Please keep in mind the rule for liquids in carry-on bags. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.
Documents and Visa Requirements:
This program takes place between Peru and Ecuador.
A passport that is valid at least 6 months after travel is required.
Please check with your local embassy for any visa requirements for your nationality for both countries.
Foreign passengers entering Peru must have a passport valid at least 6 months past the day of arrival in Peru.
Travelers to Peru will receive a card from Peruvian immigration upon arrival stating the length of approved stay (usually 90 days)
