Scenic Tangier & Folkloric Show Shore Excursion in Tangier, Morocco
Your exploration begins with a scenic route through the ancient city of Tangier before arriving in its most modern section, which has sparked a resurgence of construction and renovation throughout the city.
Continuing west, you’ll view the lovely seaside resort of Malabata and then pause for photos at beautiful Cap Spartel, a promontory at the entrance of the Strait of Gibraltar. According to legend, Hercules rested in the caves here after completing his labors.
Returning to Tangier, we’ll enter the fortified Kasbah district, perched up high overlooking the medina and sea. You’ll then watch a delightful folkloric show while dining on pastries and mint tea (a symbol of hospitality, friendship and tradition).
One last stop at the Tangier American Legation, an elaborate Moorish-style building in the medina of Tangier, tops off this tour. Here, you’ll learn about its historical and diplomatic meaning as “The first American public property outside of the United States.”
Please note: This tour includes approximately 45-minutes of moderate walking/standing on uneven surfaces and a significant number of steps to negotiate. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests. Those with mobility concerns are cautioned to carefully evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Weather-appropriate clothing, a sun cap, sunglasses, and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Professional camera and/or video equipment is not permitted.
