Did you know there’s an invitation-only restaurant on board Regent’s Explorer-class ships? Hidden between two specialty restaurants lies The Study, an exclusive private dining room accessible to a select group of guests.
After an exciting day exploring one of the fascinating ports of call on the itinerary, guests can ask their personal butler to reserve a table for them and a few of their newfound friends at The Study.
An Intimate Gathering
Hosting a maximum of twelve guests, diners are met with the style and sophistication they would expect from a VIP experience on board Regent. Adorning the walls of this marble-floored oasis are rare paintings and prints that form part of the luxury line’s multi-million-dollar art collection, coupled with a replica fireplace and multiple bookshelves lined with stunning artefacts. The centerpiece is a long, elegant table set with Bernardaud Or d'Azur plateware, Riedel glassware and opulent ivory linen.
Whether guests prefer a cocktail-style event or a fine dining experience, the butler will accommodate, matching the menu selections with those from neighboring Prime 7, serving classic steakhouse cuisine with a modern flair or Chartreuse, serving classic French fare with a twist.
For those who prefer to create their own personalized experience, guests of The Study can also request that any off-menu dishes be prepared by the Senior Executive Chef. Savor a regional dish from one of the ports of call visited that day, such as Sicilian squid-ink pasta, or a traditional homecooked-style meal, like slow-roasted lamb with seasonal vegetables.
