2024 Reunion Cruise

Originally from Split, Croatia, Davor began cruising in 1993 as a hobby, but he quickly fell in love with the sea and enjoyed a decorated career until his retirement in 2024. Over the three decades of his tenure, he sailed countless nautical miles and visited extraordinary places, yet his favorite part of his job was meeting new guests and reconnecting with repeat Regent cruisers. Since his retirement, he has enjoyed tending to the olive garden he and his wife started. Only taking breaks to sail aboard Seven Seas Mariner...but this time as a guest.

John was born in Ireland in 1948, but his family emigrated to East Africa when he was just six months old, following his father’s mining career. After nine years, they returned to Scotland, and despite his Irish birth, John considers himself a Scot with a passion for bagpipes. He began his maritime career in 1965, later joining the U.K. cross-Channel ferry industry, becoming the youngest captain on the England-France route in 1980.

In 2001, John returned to the high seas, helping launch a new cruise line. In 2006, he joined Regent Seven Seas Cruises as Captain of the Seven Seas Navigator and later transferred to the Seven Seas Voyager before retiring in 2014. John is now happily retired in southern England with his wife Andree, enjoying travel, three children, and four grandchildren.

Jamie and Dana worked with RSSC for 21 years before retiring in 2021, having met at sea and working together in the cruise industry since the early 1980’s. “What a wonderful time it has been” says Jamie. As Cruise Director his favorite memories include working with so many tremendous people, our talented entertainers, officers and crew. Dana, as Assistant Cruise Director, would organize the daily details of the entertainment office, host activities and arrange dining with guests. “That was the best part of my job, spending meal times to get better acquainted and enjoy deeper conversations with our guests." In addition to the varied and exciting itineraries offered throughout each year, Jamie and Dana were chosen to direct the first 13 around the world cruises for Regent. They were such a great opportunity to personally get to know the most experienced travelers - our guests, while spending so many months cruising together.

The world cruises gave Jamie the opportunity to invent new and unique events in order to keep the guests engaged, surprised and delighted! Many of these events are still offered today. Last year, because of their vast world cruise experience, Jamie & Dana were offered a ‘retirement position’ as World Cruise Hosts where they sailed around the world in 2024 and will join the unique 2025 voyage as well. "We’re so looking forward to that, including Antartica where we have not yet been!” The two of them are very social, look forward to reconnecting with former guests, and meeting new friends, on this reunion cruise.
