Land Programs & Hotels

  • Embark on an unforgettable journey from Singapore to the majestic temples of Angkor, delving deep into the heart of Southeast Asia. Explore lively markets, marvel at ancient architectural wonders, and enjoy the genuine warmth of the local people—all seamlessly integrated into an itinerary designed to inspire and captivate. Once hidden beneath thick jungle, the Angkor temple complex now rises as one of the globe’s most impressive religious sites. Highlights include Angkor Wat, celebrated for its sheer size and detailed stonework, as well as the imposing gates of Angkor Thom—the final stronghold of the Khmer Empire—and the fascinating faces of Bayon Temple.

    Please note:

-There is extensive walking over uneven ground at the temple sites - at times up to 2 km, with steps at Bayon and Angkor Wat. This tour is not suitable for guests with walking difficulty or if confined to a wheelchair. It can also be very hot and humid there.

-Cambodia visa fee is included in the tour and will be applied upon arrival at Siem Reap Airport

Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below about airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.

    DAY 1

After disembarking the ship in Singapore, identify your luggage and then transfer from the pier to Singapore International Airport for a flight to Siem Reap. You will be accompanied on the flight by a representative from our local ground agency.

On arrival in Siem Reap you will be met and assisted with obtaining your Cambodian Entry Visa and the Angkor Temple Passes required for touring. Once this has been issued, board an air-conditioned coach for the transfer to your hotel for check-in.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on own.

NOTE: Your passport will be kept by our program operations team in order to process the visa on arrival and for exit procedures on departure day. Your passport will be safely returned to you on Day 3.

Please pack accordingly before departing the ship. Any excess luggage to be left in Singapore while you are in Siem Reap will be collected when you disembark. Don’t forget to label any luggage to be stored with your name and bring any valuables, medication and documents with you.

    Day 2

After breakfast at your hotel, visit the city of Angkor Thom including its 12th-century Bayon Temple, the Terrace of the Leper King and the Elephant Terrace, a sandstone wall featuring carvings of hunting scenes and three-headed elephants.

Continuing, you will see the temple of Ta Prohm, which is famous for its forest atmosphere and enormous fig trees. This temple has intentionally not been restored, and it looks just as it did when the first European explorer arrived. It may look familiar, as Ta Prohm has been a location in numerous movies, including the blockbuster action film “Tomb Raider.”

After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Satcha, a Cambodian handicrafts center that fosters local artisans who mix traditional knowledge with contemporary design to showcase their talents and highlight Cambodian culture. Their aim is to encourage the young generation to perpetuate this ancestral know-how while creating unique and desirable products, allowing them to further develop their core skills to become autonomous and financially independent.

Continue to look around the Old Market (Phsar Chas) - the most popular with tourists and visitors, offering a great selection of souvenirs, textiles, handicrafts, statues, and curios of any of the traditional markets.

Back at the hotel, enjoy dinner and an Apsara cultural show

Overnight at the Borei Angkor Resort or similar hotel

    DAY 3

This morning after breakfast, visit the Angkor Wat Temple Complex, seat of the once mighty Angkor Empire and the highlight of your program. It was from here that kings ruled over a vast territory that extended from the tip of what is now southern Vietnam, northward to Yunnan in China, and westward to the Bay of Bengal.

Your guide will point out the best spots for taking photos of this massive temple complex as you walk amidst the moss-peppered cobbled pathways, gaze up at the intricately carved tower tops and perhaps climb the steep and narrow temple steps that lead to wide courtyards. Lose yourself in contemplation as you catch the rays of the sun dancing off the bas relief carvings, the chatter of monkeys reverberating off the temple walls.

You will have approximately 2 hours to explore its archaeological treasures with your guide before returning to your hotel.

Following your unforgettable exploration of the temples, you will return to the hotel to freshen up and check out. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Singapore (passports are returned) where upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. You will also be reunited with any stored luggage. Dinner is on your own.

    DAY 4

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. Transfers to the Singapore Airport will be based on your flight times. For guests with late flights, luggage storage is available at the hotel until your transfer time. Check out time is 12:00pm.

•Meals other than breakfast are on your own after Day 4 of your program.

    Transfers:

•All guests booking their flights independently are required to ensure the cruise line has their most up to date flight details so that transfers to the airport can be arranged. If flight details are not received 14 days before your cruise start date, transfers will not be arranged.

•Should you book any extra nights on your own or your flight is not on the last day of the program, transfers are not included.

•Should you have a late departing flight you may wish to book an extra night so that you have occupation of your room until your departure.

•You will be asked to vacate your room by 12:00pm. Day rooms can only be purchased directly through the hotel.

    What to Bring:

On this tour the key words are comfortable and casual. Remember we are visiting a foreign country and local dress codes should be observed.

*Please avoid uncovered shoulders, shorts or revealing clothing.

*Full length trousers or pants and/or skirts covering the knees are required to be worn when visiting Angkor Wat

Although dinners are not formal, you may want to bring something a bit dressier for that time of day.

Bring a hat or a head covering for sun protection and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and bug spray (you should have mosquito repellent for sunrise and sunset hours). It’s also a good idea to bring along a small packet of tissues or wet wipes. It is also suggested that guests wear flat comfortable walking shoes (not sandals or open-toed shoes / flip flops). Guests are requested to take off their footwear and hats when visiting religious sites.

    Currency:

Guests are encouraged to bring US Dollars with them as they are most commonly accepted in Cambodia. The local currency is the Cambodian Riel. You should take smaller denominations of US Dollars with you, as they will keep you from ending up with a lot of local change that you will not be able to re-exchange back home.

    Electricity:

Rooms are equipped with 220-volt, two-pin US style electrical outlets. We recommend travelling with your own adapter kits should you have electronic devices.

    Water:

Avoid tap water and drinks with ice in them. Drink mineral water and drinks in sealed containers. Water at the hotels in both Singapore and Siem Reap is potable.

    Luggage:

For a program of this length and nature, we suggest no more than one suitcase per person.

Luggage Weight Restrictions: Light luggage would be most suitable for this 3-night trip. Please note that the airlines allow a maximum of 1 checked suitcase (20 kg or 44lbs) and one small carry on. Any additional pieces will be in excess, and fees will be paid to the airline at the guests’ expense. If you wish you can store excess luggage in Singapore at the hotel. You will be reunited with it on Day 3. Please ensure that all excess bags are tagged properly and visibly with your full name and suite number on the ship. Note that Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the hotel, nor our local ground operator are liable for any lost or missing items. We do not recommend leaving valuables behind or in checked luggage. You should keep any valuables, medications and documents with you in your carry-on handbag.

Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)

1.Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) - Guests must obtain a Doctor’s Certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry a POC. Further paperwork may be required by the airline.

2.CPAP Machine NOT being used in flight – please advise RSSC at least 95 days before your cruise if you will bring a CPAP on the internal flight(s) used in this land program. Please supply the make, model and battery type.

3.CPAP Machine to be used during flight – same as above + a doctor’s note is required mentioning the need to use the machine during flight.

*Guests are required to bring with them any details from the manufacturer regarding the CPAP specifications. While most modern CPAP machines are FAA-approved for in-flight use, having a copy of your manufacturer’s FAA-approval status will help to quickly clear any confusion that may arise.

    * Not providing the above details in a timely manner may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator will be responsible for.

*Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply, especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Please keep in mind the rule for liquids in carry-on bags. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.

    Documentation:

Guests must carry a valid passport with at least 6 months validity after the program dates and have spare pages for the Cambodian Visa. Visas will be issued on arrival in Siem Reap and are included in the cost of the program.

All travelers (Tourists, Expats and Cambodians) are now required to submit the Cambodia e-Arrival Card within 7 days before their arrival via a mobile app or at https://arrival.gov.kh/

Guests are also required to submit an electronic Singapore Arrival Card within three days prior to arrival into Singapore. They are not permitted any earlier. Please follow instructions on this website https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/ or through the official “MyICA” mobile application. Submissions are free of charge.

VERY IMPORTANT – The name on your cruise booking, passport and any visas if required, must all be exactly the same for flight ticket purchase for this program otherwise guests may be denied travel by flight. Please ensure that all documents are identical in spelling to the names provided for your cruise reservation including first, middle and last name. Manifests generated by the cruise line must match your travel documents.

Failure to have the required documents ahead of time or incorrect names on flight tickets will result in either denial of travel or ticket re-purchase and guests will be responsible for any fees incurred.

  • Explore Singapore’s timeless charm, from the serenity of the UNESCO World Heritage Botanic Gardens to the historic old Supreme Court and City Hall. Glide along the Singapore River and get to know three vibrant cultures of Singapore's major ethnic groups. Visit iconic places of worship that reflect the rich tapestry of the nation and savor delightful meals showcasing some of the best Singaporean gastronomy.

    Note:

•If you have any food intolerances or special dietary needs, please contact the Regent Reservations Team at least 95 days prior to your departure. It is important that your land program extension reflects these details so our local vendors can ensure smooth and enjoyable dining experiences.

    Day 1

Disembark the ship in Singapore and meet your guide before setting off on a journey to discover Singapore's timeless charm.

Begin with a visit to the majestic Singapore Botanic Gardens, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A sure highlight will be meandering through the National Orchid Garden which is located in an impressive glasshouse showcasing over 1,000 orchid species and hybrids.

Next, enjoy a scenic drive along Orchard Road, passing by the Istana (Presidential Palace).

Indulge in a delightful three-course lunch featuring authentic Malay delicacies, followed by a refreshing bowl of cendol, a quintessential Singaporean dessert. This icy delight features delicate green strands of pandan-flavored jelly, coconut milk, shaved ice, and caramelized palm sugar – the perfect way to cool down and recharge before

After lunch, delve into Singapore's rich artistic heritage at the National Gallery Singapore, housed within two iconic buildings – the former Supreme Court and City Hall. Here you will see a vast collection of Southeast Asian art.

Continue your journey southwards and glide effortlessly into Sentosa Island by cable car, soaking in sweeping views of the harbor, rainforest, and glittering coastline below.

For a memorable finale, pause at Mount Faber Peak to enjoy a refreshing cocktail while taking in panoramic views of the city skyline and the Singapore Strait. Mount Faber is one of Singapore’s oldest hilltop parks and has been a strategic lookout point since colonial times.

After check-in at your hotel, the remainder of the evening is at your leisure and dinner is on own.

    Day 2

After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel. Today will bring you to the heart of three vibrant communities in Singapore where you will experience their rich history and traditions firsthand.

Start at Telok Ayer, a historic district with a rich blend of Chinese and Peranakan influences. Visit Thian Hock Keng Temple, Singapore's oldest Buddhist temple and admire its intricate architecture and historical significance for the local community.

Next Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Little India. Wander through the bustling streets, visit Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, one of the most prominent Hindu temples in Singapore and a focal point for the Indian community.

This is followed by a relaxing scenic bumboat ride along the historic Singapore River, from Boat Quay to Marina Bay. Remnant of Singapore’s fishing village past, bumboats were originally used for transporting goods and people along the river during the 19th and 20th centuries. Along the way glimpse at the historic shophouses lining the riverbanks, in contrast with the skyscrapers of present-day Singapore.

Indulge in a delicious lunch featuring Singaporean flavors at Town Restaurant, located inside the iconic Fullerton Hotel and alongside the Singapore River.

Finally, explore the colorful and aromatic neighborhood of Kampong Glam. Admire the Sultan Mosque, a significant landmark that offers a glimpse into the rich history of the Muslim community in Singapore and their significant contributions to the nation's tapestry.

After this culturally enriching tour, return to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

Note: Shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting religious sites.

    Day 3

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then the remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore the sights and sounds of Singapore at your own pace.

Our local representatives will be available for a few hours this morning to answer any questions or to help you plan your day. Please check your Welcome Letter for the time and location.

Something worth trying and within a 10 min drive of the hotel is the Singapore Flyer - Asia’s largest giant observation wheel. Standing at a stunning 165m from the ground, the Flyer offers you breathtaking, panoramic views. Or perhaps visit Gardens by the Bay, a sprawling 101-hectare (250-acre) horticultural park located in the heart of the city. There’s also a range of shops, restaurants and facilities nearby.

Lunch and dinner are on your own today.

    Day 4

After breakfast, settle any incidentals before checking out. You will be met and transferred by private vehicle to Singapore’s Changi Airport based on the flight details provided. For guests with late flights, luggage can be stored at the hotel until your transfer time. Check out time at the hotel is 12:00pm.

Note: A private van will be used to transfer couples or parties of two between the airport and the hotel. Vans hold a maximum of four pieces of large luggage (total) plus three smaller carry-on sized bags per person. An SUV will be used for solo guests, which can hold 3 large suitcases and 3 smaller carry on items. If you will have more luggage, a larger vehicle may be required for additional cost. Please advise your booking agent at least 14 days before sailing if a larger vehicle is required. Transfers are with a driver only.

    Transfers:

•All guests booking their flights independently are required to ensure the cruise line has their most up to date flight details so that transfers to the airport can be arranged. If flight details are not received 14 days before your cruise start date, transfers will not be arranged.

•Should you book any extra nights on your own, or your flight is not on the last day of the program, transfers are not included.

•Should you have a late departing flight you may wish to book an extra night so that you have occupation of your room until your departure. You will be asked to vacate your room by 12:00pm. Day rooms can only be purchased directly through the hotel.

    Expected Weather:

Singapore is known for its hot and humid weather, with little variation throughout the year. The average daytime temperature is 31ºC (88ºF), dropping to around 24ºC (75ºF) in the evenings. The monsoon season can bear down pretty heavily on our tropical weather from November onwards, so be prepared for rain on a daily basis during this period.

    What to Bring:

When packing, keep in mind that you will be in the tropics. Light, cool, and casual clothing is recommended all year round. For more formal occasions, men should wear jackets, ties, or long-sleeved batik shirts whereas women should wear dresses.

    Local Currency:

The currency used in Singapore is the Singapore dollar (S$). Money changing services can be found not only at the Singapore Changi Airport but also at most shopping centers and hotels around the island. You can also access the automated teller machines (ATMs) located everywhere (even in the most obscure bits) in Singapore, that accept most of the main credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

    Electricity:

Singapore's electricity voltage is 220-240V with ac, 50 cycles per second. Generally, the electricity outlets are three-pronged - two parallel flat pins with a ground outlet. You may purchase adapters in any of the hardware stores or rent one from the hotel. We recommend travelling with your own international adaptor should you have electric devices.

    Documents and Visa Requirements:

Visitors must have a valid passport valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the date of entry into Singapore.

Guests are required to submit an electronic Singapore Arrival Card within three days prior to arrival into Singapore. They are not permitted any earlier. Please follow instructions on this website https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/ or through the official “MyICA” mobile application. Submissions are free of charge.

The above information is subject to change and serves as a guide only. We would like to take this opportunity to remind all of our guests that it is the ultimate and sole responsibility of the guest to ensure they meet the entry requirements for each destination.

If traveling internationally, the countries you are flying to and/ or connecting through may have different document requirements and as such we encourage you to visit the government and airport websites of every country you will be traveling to throughout the journey to familiarize yourself with their requirements for your nationality.

There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. Guests who utilize a wheelchair and those with mobility concerns are advised to check with the cruise line in advance to see if any portion of the tour program may not be considered suitable for their individual situation.
