Chobe & Victoria Falls Land Program in Cape Town, South Africa

Upon arrival on Day 1, you’ll be met outside the Customs and Immigration area and transferred to 54 on Bath hotel in Johannesburg. Relax and enjoy your day with meals on your own.

Please note: Check-in is at 2:00pm, although every effort will be made for your room to be available earlier.

After breakfast on Day 2, you’ll check out and head to the airport for a connecting flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival, a local representative will assist in your transfer to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Following lunch, you’ll enjoy a guided walking tour of the amazing Victoria Falls—the world’s largest curtain of falling water, based on its 1-mile width and height of 360 feet. It’s an amazing spectacle to watch as the Zambezi River roars over the edge of a basalt gorge, forming what locals call Mosi-Oa-Tunya or “the smoke that thunders.”

Onward to the town of Kasane in Botswana (Zimbabwe/Botswana border crossing) to check in at Chobe Chilwero Lodge. The remainder of the day is yours for relaxation or further exploration. Dinner is served in the early evening at the lodge.

Please note: Guests may only bring one piece of checked luggage per person. Excess luggage (1 piece per person) is stored at the Johannesburg Airport from days 2-4 and will be shipped via courier to Cape Town where you’ll collect it. Pack accordingly and bring medications and cruise documents with you. Pathways through Victoria Falls Park can be slippery if wet. Proper walking shoes should be worn.

Day 3 starts with an early-morning wake-up call, plus coffee and tea in the lobby. Then you’re off for a morning game drive in a 4x4 open-air safari vehicle where you may see elephants, lions, leopards and buffalos, to name a few. Chobe is also home to two antelopes that aren’t encountered anywhere else in Botswana, the puku and the Chobe bushbuck.

Returning from the safari, you’ll dine on a full breakfast and enjoy free time at the lodge. Following lunch, you’ll embark on a cruise down the Chobe River—where you’ll most likely spot animals coming to the river for water. Dinner is served at the lodge.

Following an early breakfast at the lodge on Day 4, you’ll check out and transfer to the Victoria Falls airport for your flight to Cape Town.
