The Stadium was commissioned around 80 AD by the Emperor Titus Flavius Domitianus as a gift to the people of Rome, and was used mostly for athletic contests. After the visit you will enjoy a cocktail in this amazing location.

Afterwards, you will return to your hotel.

    DAY 3

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will drive East from Rome toward Tivoli.

The town of Tivoli, the ancient Tibur, lies 30 kilometers east of Rome in the Sabine Hills, beautifully set on a limestone ridge above the ravine carved by the River Aniene. During the Roman Empire, it was a favorite resort of nobles and the Emperor Augustus himself, who sought the cooler air of the hills as an escape from Rome's summer heat.

While here, visit the gardens of Villa D’Este, often cited as the masterpiece of the Italian garden and the model for gardens all over Europe. This series of gardens are highlighted with statues, nymphs, elaborate fountains, water play, pools, cascades, grottos, and terraces with spectacular views across the Roman plains.

After your visit, enjoy some free time to wander through the colorful open air market selling all manner of souvenirs, fruits and local products and then enjoy lunch in a beautiful restaurant overlooking another one of Tivoli’s sights, the beautiful Villa Gregoriana.

In time, you will return to your hotel where the remainder of the day and dinner are on your own.
