    Wake up early to witness the sunrise at Uluru and see the desert come to life in the morning light.

    Following your sunrise experience, you will return to the hotel for breakfast before you visit Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.     Following your visit to Wildlife Habitat, you will visit the charming town of Port Douglas where you will have some free time to explore the numerous shops and cafes.

    Next, you will depart for lunch at the Treehouse Restaurant at Silky Oaks Lodge in the treetops of the UNESCO World Heritage Daintree Rainforest.

    After lunch, a visit is made at Mossman Gorge, nestled in the ancient Daintree Rainforest. Here, you will be joined by a local Aboriginal Guide for a walking tour.     Operating from 1906 to 1932, the Newnes Shale Oil Refinery was an ambitious undertaking. The refinery was one of the largest shale oil production schemes in Australia and involved mining, processing, and distillation of shale oil. Explore the historic ruins of the refinery, coal mine, the iconic beehive-shaped coking coal kilns, Newnes Railway Station, and the ghostly remnants of the lost township. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch and light refreshments in the beautiful surrounds of the Wollemi National Park.

    Back at the resort, the afternoon is yours to make the best of it: relax in your villa, horse ride on the reserve, or perhaps venture to the Glow Worm Tunnel trail. Additional costs may apply for optional tours.

Disembarking at the bottom, take a short stroll along the boardwalk and through the Jurassic rainforest. A unique scenic cable car which will return you to the top of the mountain. As you glide over the Jamison Valley, gaze at the rainforest canopy through the glass floor.

    The next stop is Echo Point, a perfect lookout where you can admire the iconic rock formation called the Three Sisters as well as a breathtaking view of the valley.     The health of Land and Water is central to the Aboriginal Culture and during those few days away from your ship you will have the opportunity to be immersed in the indigenous culture and hear the stories from the traditional owners of Australia. Highlights of your journey include a visit to Lady Elliot Island, an eco-resort which has transitioned to 100% renewable energy, and a very special cruise on the Great Barrier Reef with aboriginal guides.

    DAY 1 – March 3, 2024

    Disembark the ship in Brisbane and meet your dedicated tour leader for the next four days. Board your awaiting coach and head to Redcliff Airport for scenic flight to the coral cay of Lady Elliot Island, located at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef.

    Lady Elliot is regarded as one of the best snorkeling and diving locations on the reef, famous for its un-spoilt coral reef and amazing array of marine life. This coral cay is home to thousands of different marine life species and is well-known for its abundance of coral reef, turtles and manta rays.

    At the family operated resort, with a glass bottom boat or snorkeling, you will have the exceptional chance to get closer with the majestic manta rays, declared as vulnerable in 2011. You will then fly back to the mainland and rejoin your coach. Snorkel equipment is provided or you may bring your own. Towels and snorkel gear are included.

    DAY 2 – March 4, 2024

    Following breakfast at your leisure, depart for the Brisbane airport and board a flight to Cairns.

    Upon arrival, be transferred to your luxury accommodation on Cairns Esplanade.

    You will then depart for a very exclusive day on the Great Barrier Reef. Check in on your private Catamaran and be welcomed by a team of Aboriginal guides and marine biologists. Snorkel gear is provided but you must bring a towel from the ship for this excursion.

    On your way to the reef, the Indigenous guides will recount the Dreamtime stories of the Gimuy Walubara Yidinji, Gunggandji, Mandingalbay and Yirrganydji people to help you gain a deeper cultural understanding of this diverse ecosystem. Indigenous cultural dance and tools demonstration are also on your program.

    Enjoy four hours on the Great Barrier Reef to snorkel, on your own or with your guide, over stunning coral gardens where anemones, sea whips, clams and plate corals are home to an abundant and colorful wildlife.

    You will return to the hotel for some time to rest and refresh.

    Dinner tonight is on your own and the rest of the evening at your leisure.

    DAY 3 – March 5, 2024

    After breakfast, board your awaiting coach and depart on a one-hour drive to the Wildlife Habitat in the charming coastal town of Port Douglas.

    Here you will have the opportunity to come face-to-face with Australia’s iconic wildlife-including the Koala, Kangaroo and Cassowary. Following your visit to Wildlife Habitat, you will visit the town of Port Douglas where you will have some free time to explore the numerous shops and cafes.

    Next, you will depart for lunch at the Treehouse Restaurant at Silky Oaks Lodge in the treetops of the Daintree Rainforest.

    After lunch, you will depart for Mossman Gorge, nestled in the ancient Daintree Rainforest. Here, you will be joined by a local Aboriginal Guide for a walking tour. As you take in the natural beauty surrounding you and observe its wildlife, your guide will share enchanting stories that will give you a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the indigenous Kuku Yalanji people, the traditional owners of the park.

    You will then return to your hotel for some time to rest and refresh.

    For your final night, experience an exclusive after hour private visit at the Cairns Aquarium where you will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling before starting your tour. Your Biology guide will introduce you to the incredible biodiversity of Tropical North Queensland with 10 amazing North Queensland ecosystems and over 70 different habitats. Afterward, you’ll make your way to the Aquarium restaurant and watch beautiful sea creatures in a 14-metre 70,000 litre marine exhibit while a delightful dinner is served.
