Get properly introduced to Belgium’s capital city on this guided driving and walking tour that covers it all – with free time to boot. First, the panoramic journey from Antwerp (about an hour) brings you past iconic Brussels must-see’s, with a must-do selfie stop at the giant steel Atomium monument built for the ‘58 World’s Fair. Once in town, your escorted walk winds past Old City landmarks like the ornate St. Hubert shopping arcades, cafe-lined Butcher’s street, and Brussels’ breathtaking Grand Place – an open plaza ringed by baroque guild houses and a Town Hall (1402) purpose-built to outshine the famous one in Bruges. And of course, you’ll call on Manneken Pis, Brussels’ charming little boy statue who’s always “on the go.” You’ll also enjoy an interval of free time for independent wandering, perhaps in search of classic Belgian indulgences of the chocolate, lace or waffle variety. That is, unless you prefer to rest your feet awhile and watch the world go by over lunch and Belgian beer at a streetside café.
